Meanwhile, Masaba recently spoke about the kind of roles she wants to do in the future. In an interview with BT, she had said, “The next piece of acting that I do should challenge me, excite me, and allow me to show a side of me that people haven't seen before. Most importantly, I am very clear about what I don't want to do in acting. I've seen women who look like me become caricatures sometimes. I want to be given an acting job because of my ability to act and not based on how much weight I've lost or gained and how clear my skin looks. I am not an egoistic actor. It often happens that when you have one hit series, you think, ‘Oh my God! I am going to do a big project or play the lead role!’ I don't aspire to become a heroine in Indian films. Firstly, I don't think that’s possible, and secondly, the movies that I’ve been watching in the recent past have the supporting actors play powerful and memorable characters. My favorite actor is Amruta Subhash, and I think she's incredible. According to my, she's the best heroine in India today. I aspire to be a supporting cast and prove my acting prowess through that”.
On the work front, Masaba is awaiting the release of the second season of ‘Masaba Masaba, ’ which will also star her mother.

The Aamir Khan starrer 'Lagaan' was released two decades ago on June 15. The Ashutosh Gowariker directorial film managed to impress the audience with its outstanding storyline and performances. As the film clocked 20 years, the ‘Lagaan’ team reunited virtually and celebrated the occasion. AR Rahman, who composed the music of the film, shared an amazing picture on Instagram.
The video call was attended by Aamir, Ashutosh, AR Rahman, Rachel Shelley, Suhasini Mulay, Pradeep Rawat, Paul Blackthorne, and others. Sharing the picture with his fans, the popular singer wrote, “#20YearsOfLagaan an emotional and proud team!” Have a look:
Recently speaking about the film, Aamir said, “Lagaan was, is, and continues to be an amazing journey for me. It has been a journey in which I have met exciting new people, made new friends, started relationships that have lasted over two decades, shared so much with these wonderful people, learned so much, experienced so many emotions, experienced so much. This journey has shaped me in so many ways.”
Gowariker further added, “It is tough to convince Aamir to do a film, but once he commits, that is the greatest moment for the director.”
