If you do not have time to write content on the web, it is important for you to find someone you trust who can do the job for you. However, not everyone who calls themselves a "title writer" is one or, if they are writing articles, may not be familiar with the special techniques needed to make the title "sing" online. As a professional webmaster, I'm going to share with you some tips that can help you find and have a great relationship with a web content writer.
You may not choose to use my services, but your professional should be someone you can work with. Do some research. Finding the best professional for your job will involve some research on your part. If you find a writer, contact him and ask for samples of his writings.
A list of articles shows the work of many writers who are eager to share their skills with you. Find References, Check Sources. Ask the people you are writing to get directions and check links online.
By entering a person's name in brackets in the Google search bar, you can find a wealth of information about that person. If this person has been writing too much web content, search returns should be too much. In addition, your author should have a website and their website should have samples of some of their best articles.
Also read their blog post, if they have one. Check the Expert Sites. Lance, Guru, and Writer's Write a few popular sites for freelancers. Your author has paid to access that site, so you know that you may be dealing only with willing writers.
For your part, you can list your project, accept bids, and choose an author that best suits your project. Generally, you do not have to pay to be on one of these sites. If you find a writing expert, you should reach a certain agreement about the work that needs to be done.
For example, you should ask yourself the following questions when making a suggestion:
- How much will you pay? Will your rating be per article, hourly, or by name?
- How will you pay your professional? By PayPal, by check, or by site?
- What audience is the target audience for? Demographics, et al.
- How should complete projects be submitted? By email? Name attached? Do you want to split it in two?
- Is there a specific deadline for completing the task?
- Is there a contract involved, or will you go with the oral agreement?
Once you have reached the goals, ask your author to send you one or two articles. Use these first articles to explore their work and help them write in the way you wish. Communication is very important, so make sure everyone understands what is expected. It may take some time before you reach the level of luxury with your new writer.
You have the right to expect the terms agreed upon to be properly adhered to, yet by showing generosity and taking on personal style [and perhaps, in the last days] you will go a long way in keeping a great writer at your side. Alternatively, pay your author in time and make sure you also follow your side of the agreement.
Lastly, to the best of your ability, limit your communication to emails [from time to time only] as we writers often get so involved in our work that the phone ends up being a criminal - honest! At the very least, your writer may return your call after a day or two. Enough!
