A new Prime Minister will be picked on Monday, with Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) president Shehbaaz Sharif formally nominated to lead the country by a united opposition.

The session was chaired by Ayaz Sadiq of the Pakistan Muslim League member, who stated nomination papers for the new prime minister could be presented by 2 p.m. (local time) on Sunday and scrutinized by 3 p.m.
In Pakistan, no Prime Minister has ever served a complete term, but Khan is the first to leave office in this manner.
Early Sunday, opposition supporters rushed to the streets, waving national and party flags from their car windows as they raced through the streets. Although there was a heavy security presence in the capital, no incidents were recorded.
