What Happened On That Night Of 14 August 1947. 15 August 1947. Independence Day
Today, we will bring in front of you the truth of the night of August 14, which every Indian would like to know. The night that changed India's history, geography, future, and thinking, that night was the night of independence.
It was raining heavily in Delhi since the evening of 14th August; by 9 o'clock in the night, about 5 lakh people had gathered on Rai Sinha Hills. The rain continued; Sardar Patel, Jawaharlal Nehru, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, and Mount Baton reached the Viceroy's House at around 10 pm.
On 14th August 1947, only a few minutes were left in the night of 12 o'clock; then Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru started his discourse by saying 2 lines.

In a few minutes at 12 o'clock, this day of 15th August brought happiness for India; after 190 years, the country became independent from British rule. But with this happiness, there was so much pride.
The country was divided into two parts because India had lost its full expansion of 3 lakh 46 thousand 737 square feet and about 8 crores 15 lakh people in one night.
Hindustan and Pakistan Hindustan did not become independent; the end of British rule had started long before 15th August. A new revolution was started in the country with the mass movement of Mahatma Gandhi.
So another Subhash Chandra Bose that Azad Hind Fauj had made the life of the British miserable; after the second world war, the British government did not even have enough power to rule India now.
Therefore, Mount Baton was made the last Viceroy of India to be given independence unofficially. The British had initially decided to declare India as independent on 3 June 1947.
But Muhammad Ali Jinha was determined to create a separate country called Pakistan. Due to which communal violence started at some places in the country; seeing the deteriorating situation, British India wanted to declare an independent state so soon. Because the British also had to divide India not in one piece but two pieces,
Why was 15th August chosen as the day for independence? Mount Batten believed that August 15 is an auspicious day. So in this, it is such that we Indians believed in good and bad, but the British also believed in the same.
Because on the day of 15th August 1945, Japan had given refuge. And its official signing was done on 2nd September. Therefore, according to the baton, the day of August 15 was auspicious for the friendly nations.
Then why was the time of 12 o'clock in the night done?
So for this, Indian astrologers believed that time is auspicious for the country's independence; it was decided that Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru should finish his speech before 12 o'clock in the night and at 12 o'clock in the night of Shankh Nath. This will be the beginning of Indian democracy.
That's exactly what happened. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and his cabinet took the oath of office and secrecy on August 15, 1947, at 30 minutes at 8 am.
The sky was clear in the morning after the continuous rain of the night. People were waiting impatiently. Waving the tricolor of independent India, to see with your own eyes.
The country's tricolor was first hoisted by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru at 12 o'clock in the night at Parla Main Central Hole. And for the second time, at 8 a.m., the grand national flag was hoisted in front of the public by taking off the British national flag. There were tears of happiness in the eyes of the countrymen.
On 15th August, after independence, the British did not leave the country together.
Some senior officers of independent India also remained British for some time; the first team of 1500 British soldiers left for their country on 17th August 1947. So the last team came out on 27th August 1948.
Friends, the surprising thing is that the robber Britishers have come as a guest of our country; in that way, they were sent off when his last army bid farewell to Bandar Gah in Mumbai, the farewell song to Jyoj Punch was played along with the band Baaja.
Even 190 years before independence, Amir Chandra and Mir Jafar welcomed Robert Kline with such respect. And what happened then was the battle of Palaces and 190 years of independence. Still, we Indians will not improve. We have not left the formula of Atithi Devo Bhava even today. Then that guest sentence is like a god or has come to rob us.
