This is an experimental study that was carried out on upper primary school kids in the Punjabi district of S.B.S. Nagar. The sixth and seventh graders of an international school were the subjects of the investigation. By using a straightforward randomization procedure, a total of 100 students who met the inclusion criteria for this experimental investigation were split into two equal groups at random. Either the lecture approach or the smart class method was used to teach them. The pre-test and post-test comparison group designs were utilized by the researcher to carry out the investigation. A standardized questionnaire and a structured instructional program were employed to collect the data. The data were analyzed and explained using the t-test. The study's findings showed that the lecture method of instruction was superior to the smart class way of instruction.

This approach is practical and typically makes the most sense, particularly in bigger classroom settings. The majority of the audience can hear the lecturer at once. Using this technique, a presentation's goals, content, structure, tempo, and direction can all be carefully determined by the instructor. Additionally, this can enhance and clarify textual content. On the other hand, effective speaking and writing abilities are needed by the instructor while using the lecture technique. A lecture is a discourse or verbal presentation made to an audience by a lecturer, trainer, or speaker with the use of A.V. materials such as a blackboard, charts, etc. Despite the development of computer technology and training systems, lectures remain a mainstay of instruction at all levels of school. The educational system has changed in many ways over time as technology has advanced. Teachers began experimenting with the new methodology and style of instruction.
