In past time for going one place to another, we have to walk on the road. It took us hours or days or even more time to reach our destination. And there was no other option for us except walking. But today, we have many types of vehicles that help us reach our destination in much less time than walking. Some of them are cars, Railways, motorbikes, etc.
After traveling on vehicles, humans wanted to fly, so they made airplanes. Now more new technology is emerging that help us to travel long distance in lesser time. A flying car is a vehicle that can operate both on land and air. With the help of it this they can reach their destinations through by sky.
Since the early 20th-century, human tries to make a vehicle that can operate both on land and air, there were many prototypes of a flying car that have been made, such as Convair model 118, a prototype flying car flew in 1947, Aerocar made in 1948, etc.
There are many flying tests had done for the flying car. First, in 1936 Hendry Ford made an experimental single-seat plan, and it grabs the attention of media people but it was not the flying as the project was also banned as a pilot killed in a crash.
In 1942 Soviet army force try to fly a gliding tank name Antonov A-40 but it was not capable of flying. In 1949 Molt Taylor made an Aerocar which made a successful flight in December. It is considered one of the first practical flying cars. But he was failed in getting the flying car into production.
Flying cars must be safe to use and eco-friendly also they can operate both on-road and air. It should be easy to control so anybody can fly it and there is no need for a pilot and it also should be affordable. The energy efficiency of a flying car should be low and it would be less economical than a motor car. Nowadays, many electric vehicles are coming which use electricity to operate.
The name 'Flying car' also become famous in many science fiction stories, Movies, Anime, etc. In movies, it shows that a car running on the road can instantly transform into a flying car. Many shows or cartoons have different styles of flying cars.
On June 30, 2021, the prototype flying car name AirCar completed its test between two cities spending 35 minutes airborne in Slovakia. It operates on 160 horsepower BMW engine. It has a fixed propeller and foldable wings that are open in less than 3 min.
The flying car will only available after 2 to 3 years. Many factors come in a flying car, such as the safety measure, up to which height it can fly, training of the pilot, etc. The electric flying car will also emerge in the upcoming future. It will take time for flying cars to available for ordinary people. So The flying car is a dream for regular people.
