International services were operated with the participation of the private-public sector. The government owned 49 per cent and Tata owned 25 per cent. In 1953, Nehru declared the full nationalization of Air India. Tata has strongly objected to this. It is noteworthy that almost 68 years later, Air India has returned to Tata.
