It is the first time that a request for no confidence in the Pakistani prime minister has been successful.

The motion of no confidence in the 172-member parliamentary seat, which has been approved by 174 members of parliament, has been approved by the opposition.

The adoption of the proposal came after the Supreme Court ruled that Khan, who took office in 2018, had acted unconstitutionally earlier by blocking the process and dissolving parliament.

In a landmark decision late Thursday, the court restored the house demolished by President Arif Alvi on Khan's recommendation.

Since gaining independence in 1947, no Pakistani prime minister has completed a five-year term in the country.

Khan's political death was based on two realities. Within parliament, his Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party lost the support of the coalition, denying the majority it needed to win a no-confidence vote.

Outside of parliament, Khan appeared to be losing the support of Pakistan's powerful military, an opposition party that allegedly helped him win the 2018 general election. They recently had a public debate over the appointment of senior military officers and policy decisions.

In recent weeks, as the main opposition parties - the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) - intensify their efforts to oust Khan, the unions express their dissatisfaction with him.

At the same time, the economic downturn was having an impact on Khan's dissatisfaction with the two-priced inflation rate.

Shehbaz sharif, the younger brother of three-year-old Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, is expected to replace Khan.

The 70-year-old is less well known outside his home country but has a reputation at home as an active director rather than a politician.

In an interview last week, he said good relations with the United States were crucial to Pakistan for better or worse, unlike Khan's recent rivalry with Washington.
