What Concept Of Mindset

Psychology is everything. Whether you are talking about career success, starting your own business, working hard or being a parent, having the right mindset can be the difference between success and failure. Carol Deck and her brilliant book Mindset: The New Psychology of Success cannot be discussed without mentioning the concept of Mindset. After decades of research, the world-renowned Stanford University psychologist Carol S. Dwek discovered the power of mindfulness. In her book, she explains the differences between a consistent and growth mentality — showing how success in almost every field of life affects how we think about our talents and abilities. Studies show that once we use the power of growth mentality, it is essential for career success.

Fixed vs Growth Mindset

A consistent mindset assumes that our intelligence, character, and creative ability are consistent. In general, you have to have a hand in life and accept it. Believing that your features are in the stone creates a desire to prove yourself over and over again. A stable mindset can lead to career stagnation.

On the other hand, growth thinking is based on the idea that the things you can develop through your own efforts are your most important traits. It believes that everyone can change and grow through experience and practice. The growth mentality does not see failure as loss, but as a springboard for success. Failing is really a kind of practice. In a study conducted by Deck with children, he offered a substitute for four-year-olds. They can repeat the easy puzzle or try the hardest puzzle. Individuals with specific mindsets chose simple puzzles to prove their current potential. They wanted to make sure they looked smart. Children with a growth mentality tend to push themselves because the definition of their success is becoming smarter. Deck writes in his book, "Thirty years later, my research has shown that the attitude you take for yourself has a profound effect on your life. It determines how you live your life." You have become the person you want to be 'and' you have achieved what you value. "

Develop a growth mindset

Mindfulness is derived from our own powerful beliefs. Thoughts have a growth mentality that can change them when we are not allowed to achieve our goals. Here are five ways you can control your mood to develop a growth mindset:

1. Accept failure

Failure to cultivate a growth mindset involves looking positively rather than negatively. Everyone has shocks. Learning from everyone and improving your decision_making is crucial. People who are wildly successful usually fail on the path to success. Steven Spielberg was rejected from film school three times before getting his big break. Oprah Winfrey was also fired from her position as news coach at the Baltimore TV station before creating a successful daytime talk show. One producer reportedly said she was "ineligible for television news". Oprah later said, "I do not know what  l'm up for or what the biggest development period in my adult life will be."

2. Be a lifelong learner

People with Growth Mindset are actively looking for learning opportunities, resulting in greater career success. Be curious about everything. Research shows that less successful people are more likely to read for fun, while those at the top prefer self-improvement books. In fact, 85% of successful people read two or more self-improvement or academic books a month. Another study found that 30% of executives say that employee willingness to learn is the most essential attribute for success.

3. Seek Challenge

Challenges are opportunities that lead you toward your goals and help you grow. According to CS Lewis, "hardships often prepare ordinary people for extraordinary fate." Do not underestimate the power of overcoming obstacles. Are you very comfortable in your current career? It may be a sign that it is time to seek new challenges. After all, magic happens outside of your comfort zone.

4. Go beyond your limits

Another way to cultivate a growth mindset is to push yourself beyond what you thought. In an interesting study, researchers asked participants to cycle as hard as possible to 4,000 meters. After that, participants were given the same instructions but were able to compete with their previous ride avatar. Little did they know that the Avatar would move faster than ever before. The result was that participants traveled side by side with their avatars, which was much longer than the first time. When you push yourself, you can even exceed your expectations.

5. Ask for feedback

People who want to grow personally and professionally seek and value feedback. This is because growth-oriented individuals are interested in developing and challenging themselves. They are not afraid of criticism or judgment. Once you understand that you are responsible for your own development, you will have the confidence to seek feedback and learn from it.

A changing world

As technology and business models change rapidly, adopting a Growth Mindset is critical to career success. In order to be as competitive as automation technologies, workers must constantly learn new skills, including artificial intelligence...
