What caused the death of Earth's twin sister Venus...? New information in the study

Our solar system  comprises, 9 different planets, each of these having their unique characteristics and qualities. Among its neighbors, many scientists have considered Venus as the Earth’s twin planet.

This is mainly because that among all the different planets in the solar system, the planet Venus is almost of the same size as the planet Earth as well as having the same density and surface.

Venus is the second planet from the Sun and the closest planet to Earth. It is one of the four inner, terrestrial (or rocky) planets and is often called Earth's twin because it is similar in size and density. These are not identical twins, however – there are serious differences between the two worlds.

By studying Venus, scientists learn how Earth-like planets evolve and what conditions exist on Earth-sized exoplanets. Venus also helps scientists model Earth's climate, and serves as a cautionary tale on how dramatically a planet's climate can change.

Venus is said to be one of Earth's twin sisters in the solar system. Venus has many features similar to Earth in earlier times.

However, all that has changed over time. Today, the planet has an acidic atmosphere. Even if you put a metal like cerium, it will melt. That much has changed.

There is interest among scientists to know the secrets of what caused this change. They are engaged in the study about it.

The new study explores how a humid planet with a temperate climate, neither too cold nor too hot, later turned into a hot, acidic one.

The study revealed that the reason for this is the series of volcanic eruptions that have occurred on the planet Venus for thousands of centuries.

NASA's Center for Space Exploration's researcher Michael J. Wey says that by understanding the records of explosions on Earth and Venus, we can come to a conclusion about the current state of Venus.

Millions of years ago, many cataclysms occurred on our earth. Due to this, many species have disappeared. The results of this study are an alternative to the belief that the eruption may have been catastrophic until now. The study suggests that they are occurring due to such explosions.

A large-scale volcanic eruption has caused a complex situation in the Earth's long-lived habitat. According to the study, these volcanic eruptions are responsible for the largest number of catastrophic events throughout Earth's history. These eruptions have occurred over thousands of years.

As a result, more than 100,000 cubic miles of volcanic rock has been spread. Because of this, the ancient Earth would have started to experience high temperatures. As a result, the study suggests, an uncontrollable greenhouse effect would have emerged.

Venus currently has an average temperature of 462 degrees Celsius. Mercury has an atmosphere that is 90 times the value of Earth's surface pressure. While we can't be sure how this event happened, we can learn by studying Earth's own history, says researcher Way.

He also says that 80% of Venus' surface is covered with solid volcanic rock. Earth has recovered from 5 major cataclysms. Most of the destruction before these disasters was caused by volcanic eruptions.

However, the study suggests that these eruptions did not cause changes on Earth large enough to cause an uncontrollable, greenhouse effect like the one on Venus.
