Summer vacations were on. Me and some of my friends planned a trip to the zoo. We reached the Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park in Patna at 10:30 in the morning, there was a lot of activity. First of all, we saw Gajraj, he was operating the cold and was tasting the green leaves of Peepal. The children on the elephant were not bloated. When we went ahead, we saw the jumping of monkeys and langurs. Now it was the turn of the serpents imprisoned in glass houses. Nagraj was in a meditative posture with the horoscope, while the dragon Kumbhakarni was sleeping in his sleep. There were some poisonous scorpions too.
We were shocked to see them. There were also bears, cheetahs, lions, deer, punk zebras and birds of strange colors in the park. We saw them all. The female zebra gave birth to a baby boy. The jump of that baby was very appealing to the visitors. In the end we took rest in the park and had our brought breakfast, after that we left for home.
When my school had a 10-day holiday for Dussehra, I went with my parents to see the zoo in Kolkata (Calcutta). Father told that all kinds of animals and birds living in water and air are found in the zoo. We stayed at my maternal uncle's place in Kolkata. I visited more prominent places before visiting the zoo in Kolkata. The Kolkata Zoo is the largest zoo in the country. This is a very famous zoo. Zoo is the place where there are different types of birds and animals. These animals and birds are brought from different places of the world.
The world's largest and best zoo is in London. Zoos in Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Jodhpur and Kolkata are well known in India. People come from far and wide to see them. We reached the zoo at 9 in the morning. There was an entry fee of Rs 10 for each adult and Rs 5 for a child. First we bought tickets and then entered through the main gate, the zoo was spread over a very large area. We saw many unique and strange animals and birds there, after that we turned to the other side to see the wild animals.
We saw cheetahs, leopards, panthers and bears there, which were locked in big iron cages. There were bears in black, brown and white. In another enclosure we saw horses, donkeys, mules, camel deer, sheep, elephants and other wild animals, saw ostriches with very long necks, three kangaroos and gorillas. There in another room we saw many types of snakes and scorpions, colorful fishes and hundreds of monkeys, some monkeys had red faces, some had black faces. Saw a tree in the pond on which many birds like parrot, cuckoo, pigeon, peacock, stork, sparrow, duck etc. were chirping and some were swimming in the pond. There were some exotic birds which I had seen there for the first time.
It was very enlightening to see my zoo. I got to know many animals and birds and wild animals increased my knowledge of science, as well as got a lot of joy. I had a lot of jumping and fun there. I will always remember that visit to the zoo.
A zoo is a place where different types of animals and birds are kept. This is a place worth seeing. Boys and girls go to the zoo with great interest. Last month I had the opportunity to visit Delhi Zoo. All the students of our class were with us. Our Bell teacher was the patron of our team. We reached near the zoo by bus. After reaching the main gate, we bought our tickets. After that we entered the zoo through the gate. I cannot live without saying that the zoo is worth visiting. This is small. It has many departments.
First we went to the department of birds. There the peacock was dancing with its wings spread. Morni was watching dancing standing beside him. When we went ahead, pigeons of white, black etc. were seen in the mesh room. He was speaking 'Gutragoon'. Colorful birds appeared in front of it. Next we saw parrots, mynahs, eagles, pigeons, carpenters and owls. We laughed a lot at the sight of sleeping owls during the day. It was a fake lake. There were ducks swimming in it. Some herons were standing on one leg on the shore. A pair of swans was pounding on the shore. Some big and small frogs were making a fuss. Sometimes they came out of the water and sometimes they jumped in the water.
On walking ahead, we saw ferocious creatures like lions, tigers, bears etc. in the cages. In front of this monkeys and langurs were shouting. People were pouring gram in front of him. We were most surprised when we saw Ostrich, Kangaroo and Bebra. Ostrich is a bird of Bastralia, whose height is as high as a camel. The female was spread in the belly of the kangaroo, in which she kept the child. There were such stripes on the body of the zebra. As if the painter had painted with a pen. Now we were sure. Sitting on the green grass at one place, we ate the food items that we had brought from home. We will never forget this visit to the zoo.
