• Writer's anxiety is the worry that writers feel when they feel they are not successful, or they feel they are not good enough at writing, or simply because of rejection, failure, or criticism. This happens quite often and is one of the main reasons why writers stop writing.
•Fear of writers is hard to overcome in the writing world, especially when we are new to the world and still learning and there is a lot of rejection and people being overly critical of your work, yes some will love it, some will hate it, some will say no it's good but needs some work or they'll tell you your grammar sucks.
•When you are a writer you either learn to toughen your skin and go with the flow and accept the criticism that has been given and use it in your writing to become better and apply yourself or there are some writers who can't take rejection or constructive criticism and on stop writing at that point.
•How do we overcome these fears? It's easy to never give up, always push yourself and see things out. Writing can be difficult at times and can often be argumentative. I've had my own experiences with rejection more than once and I've gotten to the point where I gave up and even took a break from writing (but I didn't stop).
• Writing can be hard, and sometimes it will be, but there are ways to make it easier, so practice writing for ten minutes or more, practice writing a short story, an article, a poem or even a book. Practice will help you become a better writer.
•When you get rejected or receive bad criticism for your writing, don't let it get you down to the point of quitting, because if you do, you could be missing out on something absolutely amazing, like a really good writing opportunity.
•Make sure you proofread, edit and revise your work as often as you can, especially before publishing it, use Grammarly or Microsoft Word or whatever you want to use to check for grammar and other errors.
•Another good way to overcome writers fear is to not let fear control your brain and take over, fear is such a big thing in writing but it needs to be overcome by trying not to think about writing so much and not thinking about writing too much can lead to writers block that can affect our writing. Never let fear control you or your writing. Always write with heart, love, passion, dedication and you can go for anything. Writing takes time and dedication.
•I went back to companies I was rejected from and tried again after doing well with one of my companies I joined. I came across the site and now it's not working, I'm discouraged but I'm still trying.
•I even went back to the site I was rejected from and now write articles for that site. The thing is, I picked myself up and wrote a book, now I'm working on a second project and maybe another book or two. That's when I decided I wasn't going to let my fears stop me from doing what I love most, and neither should you. Go out, share your writing!
So inclusive writing doesn't have to be scary at all, don't let the fear overwhelm you and your writing. Write with everything you've got, overcome your fears and keep moving. You got it!
