Where does the word "vitamin" come from?
The names are derived from the Latin word vita (life) and biochemical amine (which contains nitrogen) because vitamins are essential for life and were initially thought to be amines. Vitamins are organic compounds that people need in small amounts in the diet.
A vitamin is a living thing (containing carbon) found in plants and animals that the human body should have in minimal amounts. Without vitamins, the human body would not survive, vitamins essential for average growth, metabolism (and energy production in your cells), and health. Vitamins are needed to make enzymes and hormones, which are necessary substances the human body use to make all the chemical reactions required to survive. Most of us get enough vitamins in our diet, but some people may need to take a vitamin supplement because persistent vitamin deficiency will lead to poor health, weakness, and disease.
The body needs at least 13 different vitamins to function properly
Vitamin A - Retinol, Vitamin B complex (B 1 - Thiamine, B2 - Riboflavin, B 3 - Niacin, B 6 - Pyridoxine; B 12 - Cyanocobalamin, B 9 - Folic acid, B 5 - Pantothenic acid, H - Biotin), Vitamin C - Ascorbic acid, Vitamin D - Calciferol, can be obtained by sunlight, Vitamin E - Tocopherol, Vitamin K - Menaquinone.
There are two types of vitamins: soluble fats and water-soluble.
Vitamins dissolve in the body.
Vitamins A, D, E, and K are fat-soluble, dissolved in fat but not in water. Once these vitamins are absorbed into the body, they are stored mainly in the fatty tissue and liver. The liver provides large tissues to store vitamins A and D. Vitamin E is stored primarily in body fat and under the genitals. Vitamin K is very low in the end.
Because you can store these vitamins, you do not have to take them every day. However, eating crude or crude oil can cause a deficiency of fat-soluble vitamins. On the other hand, getting too many vitamins, especially vitamins A and D, can lead to toxic levels in the body and cause problems.
Vitamins dissolve in water.
Water-soluble vitamins - vitamin C and all B vitamins - need to be dissolved in water before your body can absorb them. Because of this, your body cannot store these vitamins in any of the necessary amounts. Water-soluble vitamins that your body can use are removed by your kidneys and excreted in your urine, so you need a new supply of these vitamins every day. You cannot overdose on water-soluble vitamins unless you take substantial doses.
Water-soluble vitamins are easily destroyed or washed away during food storage or processing. Proper storage and preparation of food can reduce vitamin loss. To reduce vitamin loss, put the fresh product in the refrigerator, keep milk and grains away from intense light, and use the cooking water from vegetables to make soup.
How can you get vitamins?
It is best to get the vitamins and minerals your body needs in your diet. The daily diet of various foods can provide you with the vitamins and minerals required to keep your body healthy. Make the fridge a fresh product and keep milk and grains away from intense light to get more vitamins from your diet. Vitamins are easily destroyed and cleaned during food preparation and storage.
Many other things drain our body of essential vitamins:
Smoking - removes 25mg of vitamin C from each cigarette you smoke.
Stress - uses a lot of vitamins and minerals B.
Eating sugar and other refined products will remove chromium, zinc, vitamin B3, and other minerals from the body.
Too many vitamins can disrupt the body's balance and lead to vitamin deficiencies. Some deficiencies can be treated by simply eating foods that contain vitamins you need. Some deficiencies lead to diseases and conditions that are difficult to cure.
However, taking too many vitamins can also be dangerous. This is especially true of soluble vitamins A, D, A, D, E, and K: it is difficult to get rid of these many vitamins. You should not take extra vitamins and minerals without talking to your doctor first. Your doctor may also suggest taking different vitamins or minerals if you have health problems.
