TOP FIVE GAMES
MINE CRAFT
The 2009 original version of Mojang Studios' sandbox game Minecraft is from 2011. In the Java programming language, Markus "Notch" Persson designed the game. After going through a few early iterations in private testing, it was first made available to the public in May 2009 and then completely launched on November 18, 2011, at which point Notch stepped down and Jens "Jeb" Bergensten took over development. With over 300 million copies sold and around 140 million active users each month as of 2023, Minecraft has risen to become the best-selling video game in history. It was released and has since been ported to a number of platforms, including PC, mobile, and several consoles.
CALL OF DUTY
Activation launched the Call of Duty video game franchise in 2003. It is a military video game series. Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games created the games after Infinity Ward. Other developers created a number of spin-off and portable games. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, the latest recent game, was released on November 10, 2023. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is an anticipated video game that will launch in October 2024.
LEAGUE OF LEGENDS
Riot Games is the developer and publisher of the 2009 multiplayer online combat arena video game League of Legends, sometimes known as League. Riot's founders wanted to create a stand-alone game in the same genre as Defence of the Ancients, a custom map for Warcraft III. League is a free-to-play game that makes money from in-app purchases made by players who customise their characters since it launched in October 2009. Both Microsoft Windows and macOS support the game.
Two groups of five players engage in player-versus-player warfare in this game, with each group occupying and guarding a half of the battlefield. Ten players take turns controlling a character called a "champion," each of whom has special skills and a different way of playing.
FORTNITE
2017 saw the launching of Epic Games' online video game and gaming platform, Fortnite. Although it uses the same fundamental gameplay and game engine, it comes in six different game mode versions: Play Fortnite Battle Royale, a free-to-play battle royale game where players battle to be the last person standing; Fortnite: Save the World, a cooperative hybrid tower defense-shooter and survival game where players battle off zombie-like creatures and defend objects with traps and fortifications they can build; and Fortnite Creative, where players can create their own worlds and arenas; Lego Fortnite, an open-world survival game; Rocket Racing, a racing game; and Fortnite Festival, a rhythm game.
AMONG US
The 2018 online multiplayer social deduction game Among Us was created and released by Innersloth, an American gaming studio. Cross-platform play is possible with this game, which debuted in June 2018 for iOS and Android devices and in November on Windows. December 2020 saw its port to the Nintendo Switch, while December 2021 saw it arrive on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. On November 10, 2022, the virtual reality adaption, Among Us VR, was made available.
Among Us immerses players as vibrant, armless cartoon astronauts in space-themed environments. Every player adopts one of two personas: the majority are Crewmates, while a minority are Impostors.
