If you’re more of a budget traveler, know that the travel costs in Thailand get much lower as you go inland. I’ve been to Thailand 5 times now, 4 times without and 1 time with kids. Thailand is a lovely destination to go to when you want to travel with kids. Why? It’s easy to travel through, it’s diverse, you have good healthcare (if you ever need a hospital) and you can fly there directly.

3- Georgia has plenty to offer for active families with older children, from horse riding and mountain biking trails through the Caucasus Mountains, to wildlife spotting in national parks, and even white water rafting. And then there’s Georgia’s coastline for a little post activity R’n’R. Head up to the Caucasus Mountains where there are any number of activities families could enjoy from simple hiking and picnicking to rafting, mountain biking and horse riding. You could even enjoy a few days on the beach on the Black Sea coast.” I would say Georgia is a great destination for intrepid families. There are nice accommodation options throughout Georgia. The food is good and plentiful. The hospitality is warm. Families with kids that love the great outdoors and are used to walking and exploring exciting historical sites like forts, castles and monasteries will enjoy Georgia. The best time to visit Georgia is either side of the summer heat and winter – in May till September. The lowlands around Tbilisi are particularly hot and humid in midsummer - while the mountains are cooler and drier.
