1. Missed periods

Missing a menstrual cycle is the most common noticeable sign that shows high chance of pregnancy. Even though, missed periods doesn't always mean you are pregnant. If you have an irregular cycle, you can't depend on it.

2. Nausea (morning sickness)

Most of the women's experience morning sickness during the early stage of pregnancy. It may associate with vomiting or without vomiting. It can happen at any time of the day, despite the name (morning sickness). It usually disappears after the first trimester while some women's may lasts till delivery, some may not even experience it. The hormonal changes during pregnancy were believed to be the reason.

3. Tender or swollen breast

Hormonal changes during early pregnancy may result in swollen or tender breast, which makes a little discomfort during the first few weeks. Heaviness or fullness of the breast is common. Breast size may start to increase.

4. Frequent urination

Urgency to urinate frequently  is the another early sign of pregnancy. The increased blood supply in the body makes kidney to flush fluids frequently. Some womens may start this symptom on later stage when pregnancy progresses. During the later stage, this was due to the increased pressure on the urinary bladder caused by expanding uterus.

5. Mood swings

Hormonal changes in the body makes you more emotional and cause mixed feelings. It may go back during the second trimester and comes back during the third trimester.

6.   Fatigue 

Feeling tired or sleepy is common during pregnancy. Increased level of pregnancy hormone called progesterone cause fatigue among pregnant womens. During the later stage fatigue is caused due to the growing belly.

7. Cramping and spotting

Mild cramps similar to menstruation cramp is seen among pregnant womens at the early stage. A light spotting may also appear. It was seen within the first two weeks where implantation takes place. Hence, it is known as implantation bleeding. A white discharge is also associated with the spotting. It may mislead as menstrual cycle.

8. Food cravings and aversions

Some women may feel increased cravings for certain foods, while some may dislike certain food during the pregnancy. There are other womens who doesn't feel any of it. Even though the exact reason for this is unknown, pregnancy hormone is believed to be the reason. Many womens may feel strong sense of smell during the time which influence cravings or aversions. For most of the womens, it will go after first trimester.

9. Constipation and bloating

Hormonal changes results in feeling bloated and the digestive system slows down due to progesterone, hence cause constipation

10. Nasal congestion

Some women may have stuffy or runny nose during pregnancy due to the swelling and drying of mucous membrane in the nose. It is caused due to the increased blood production and hormonal changes.

 

      Other than the above symptoms, dizziness and fainting due to lower blood pressure and blood sugar, headache due to hormonal changes, back pain due to growing uterus, weight gain and acne or skin changes are also the symptoms of pregnancy. If you have any of the above symptoms, you should do a pregnancy test and visit doctor. The above symptoms may or may not be the reason of any other problems.
