What are the symptoms of Breast Cancer.

That was at least twenty years ago today. I met a well-known Pakistani gynecologist. Talking about the rising rate of breast cancer, she said, "I fear that if it is not controlled in time, one out of every 10 Pakistani women will get the disease in the next few years." Today, one out of every nine women in Pakistan is at risk of developing breast cancer, which means that about 12 million women in the country could be affected by the disease. Far more than the total population of. Call it unfortunate or something else that Pakistan is the country in the whole of Asia where the roots of this disease are the deepest. It is associated with breast cancer and has been named as Pink Tuber.

After skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in the United States. Breast cancer can occur in both men and women, but it is more common in women.

Extensive support for breast cancer awareness and research funding has helped to make progress in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. Survival rates of breast cancer have increased, and the number of deaths associated with the disease is slowly declining, largely due to factors such as early detection, new personal treatment and better understanding of the disease.

It is gratifying to see this year that the services of First Lady of Pakistan Samina Arif Alvi and Reema Imran Ismail, wife of the Governor of Sindh, have been invaluable in sponsoring this campaign, realizing the danger at the official and high level as well. We also have the 13-year efforts of Omar Aftab, chief executive of Pink Ribbon, an organization working on the disease in Pakistan, but the issue is so serious that it needs to be addressed not just for a month but for a whole year.

The current situation is that ten years ago only 2.3% of women reported early on breast cancer and unfortunately even today the rate is less than 10%. In Pakistan 70% of women see a doctor at the third or fourth stage of cancer. ۔ The most worrying thing for us is that 18 to 20 year old girls are suffering from this disease because the death rate from cancer at this age is very high. Unfortunately the number of cancers in young girls cannot be accurately estimated because Pakistan I have no cancer registry system. First, there is no record of deaths from breast cancer or women with this cancer.

And that is far less than the actual number because the actual number of cancer cases is not known because of the unregistered number of cancer cases. In addition, the awareness campaign on the disease should be intensified so that every one of our girls and women should not only be aware of the implications of the disease but should also try to avoid it.

The most effective way to prevent breast cancer is regular screening. Numerous medical centers offer free screening, mammography and biopsy for women over 40 years of age. It is important that women 50 years of age or older have a full annual screening. In addition, if a woman feels any lump in her breast, she should immediately contact a qualified radiologist so that timely diagnosis can prevent the disease and its complications
