Most people understand the common ways for young people to make cash, which include lemon stands, newspaper lines and lawnmowers. However, there is an exception. Some of the methods listed below date back to my youth after I often sought another way to make cash.
Be a chef. For about 11 years after the harvest, I used to recommend food to my brothers (I had 4 of them). I was given 25 cents for scrambled eggs or a sandwich, as well as other complex meals. The brothers wished to sit in front of the TV and let me prepare dinner for them. Since food is already provided for father and mother, the profit becomes a natural advantage.
Whiz-child computer service. Many young people understand a lot about computer programs. My nephew is still earning money by making plans when he is fourteen, but even more, teenagers can show old parents how to use a PC and net for a fee. Learn additional skills, and they can install computer systems to beat new owners for the first time. Letting grandparents talk can be a great way to advertise and market.
Home parties. I charged the brothers 5 cents for a piece of paper wrapped in a whole bucket. Most had a penny or an inside of them, yet some had a quarter. It is already considered one of my "ceremonial" events. Plus I had them throw a penny in a bowl all over the house, which I kept, of course. If a cent stays in the bowl they get some money. I was almost embarrassed to say how much money they had worked so hard for me.
returns. We collected and returned cans and bottles to deposit teenagers. Now that more states have regression laws, it is a much higher way to make a living. During the Cherry Festival, after settling in Traverse City, Michigan, seniors came to town to collect cans from people who were throwing them all out. With a ten-cent deposit, they were accumulating more than $ 100 which you should keep up with the day step by step with many of them. If teens wear gloves, leave damaged cans and bottles alone, and use disinfectants, that is a safe way to make money.
Menu of personal contributions. If there are many people in the family, the best way for children to make cash is to encourage their contributions. They can make a list of things to do and what kind of money they will pay for each item. It may include washing home windows for fifty cents each, for example, and maybe $ 1.50 for a strolling dog. If the list is copied, it can be passed on to all spouses and children and possibly to their neighbours.
Foreign income and markets. If Dad and Mom agree, the kids will have a lot of money, advertising now is not just family stuff, but art and crafts as well as drinks. Parents can even take their children to the market to put up a stand. I donated (as an adult) more than $ 1,000 of handmade walking sticks one summer, at the same time as my wife donated a large number of expensive paintings collected by pewter attached to rocks, seashells and crystals. Cookies and beverages promote good hygiene as well. It is a great way to get business information and a great way for young people to make money.
