We live in a busy and insecure world, with its many ups and downs every day. We are getting very busy and we are being attacked by commercials and advertisements from all over the world. Like many of us I have always been looking for a way to break the cycle of continuous knowledge to help give my mind a chance to relax and after many years of studying and exploring I try the art of meditation on many great religions like Buddhism I have. I found a simple six-step formula that helps me release the inner peace I wish to get out of.
Step 1 - Find a quiet place
The first step in securing your inner peace is to find a place that will allow you to feel safe while you are meditating and undisturbed. Some types of places you can imagine sitting in the garden, by the river, or if you are like me and tied up in the city, just sitting in your living room will suffice. There are a few important things to consider -
There should be less traffic noise
There is nothing wrong with meditating on the sound of the brakes on a moving truck or an ambulance or a police car.
Get Rid of Distractions
When you start meditating you will find it probably hard to get started but with a little practice, and that is the fun part, you will find in time that you will get better at it but in the early stages there are a few distractions for your kids. Or noise can make it very difficult.
You Must Feel Safe
Since today's society is the way it is, you should feel healthy before you start your meditation. If you have a feeling of insecurity, you will find that it is very difficult to release your worries and most importantly your thoughts.
She is relieved
Most meditation sessions will usually last about 20 minutes. If you start you may find that it takes a good 10 minutes to get there comfortable, so make sure you sit in a comfortable place before starting the meditation process. I strongly believe in sitting down but if you find it difficult to stay upright at any time, just stay leaning against the wall. Doing this can also help you to feel more secure. If you find it very easy to sit in a chair, try meditating on it that way. I do not recommend sitting on a sofa just because you risk falling asleep and while that is good before bed, it is not recommended as a result of a meditation process.
Step 2 - Use Simple Incense
Depending on where you are, you may find that light fragrance will help you to break down barriers as you begin to meditate. If you are like me and you are always running and depressed, when you start to stop you may find it really hard to focus on your meditation due to the buzz running in your blood, so using a simple incense like lavender can definitely help.
You can buy incense at any number of stores like Chinese restaurants, oriental restaurants or other mystics shops and there are many places on the web where you can buy simple incense. Note that it is illegal in some countries to buy incense by postal order and moreover only buy from a reputable retailer as you do not know what to buy in other countries.
Step 3 - Install silent music
The saying, "Music Heals the Cruel Beast" is not a very true statement when you are trying to find your inner world of peace. Playing cool music will help to reduce the noise after a hard day but be very careful about the type of music you choose. You need to make sure you choose music that will slow you down rather than increase your heart rate.
Many meditation gurus will recommend music such as running water, a running stream or large outdoor sounds, which will be perfectly suited for this process but I find it very useful for Baroque music.
Modern music has certain elements that make it appropriate and relevant to helping you achieve that inner peace. Baroque music is built at 60 beats per minute, just as funny as what our hearts have to do. Some studies have shown that listening to 60 beats per minute actually increases the alpha waves that cause calm on both the left and right sides of the brain. The result is that you will be quiet and relaxed, as if you were singing a song. Research has also shown that this “alpha condition” can help your learning process, creativity and, most importantly, calm down.
Step 4 - Focus on Your Breath. Breathe In and Out
Now that we have the elements we need to meditate on, now is the time for you to try. My favorite way to sit while meditating is to cut off my legs and place my hands on my knees and raise my palms. If you can't cut your legs just sit with your legs down. When sitting in a chair, simply separate your leg slightly and place your hands on your knees.
The next step on the way to the peaces is to close your eyes and breathe deeply and exhale slowly. You need to repeat this process consistently but while doing this, there are a few important things to keep in mind. When you start meditating you will find that as you relax, the things that have been bothering you during the day will begin to come back to your mind and we must stop this during your meditation because if you do not do that. you may end up feeling very stressed when you start. As you breathe out, just look into the depths of darkness and clear your mind.
If you find it difficult to stop, try this procedure. While breathing slowly, concentrate on the number one and focus on the number as you exhale. Then as you take your second breath, change the first number to the second
