What are the revealed trailers of God Of War Ragnarok?
The reveal video and images for God of War: Ragnarok has been published by Sony Interactive Entertainment and Sony Interactive Entertainment Santa Monica Studio.
We take up a few years after the events of God of War, as you can see in the trailer (2018). The Fimbulwinter winds have arrived in Midgard, making Kratos, Atreus, and Mimir's survival in the Norse wilds much more complicated than before.
While the last game established a great degree of trust and understanding between father and son, their connections remain complicated, especially after discovering Atreus' Giant origin and the hidden prophesy that only Kratos witnessed.
The prospect enthralls Atreus. He, like most young individuals, wants to know who he is above everything else. In this situation, he's trying to figure out who he might be.
Atreus is unable to let go of the mystery surrounding Loki's participation in the forthcoming war. Atreus wants to keep his family safe, but he also doesn't want to stand by and do nothing while the Nine Realms are engulfed in strife.
Kratos, still haunted by his previous transgressions, wishes to spare Atreus the terrible lessons he learned from his battles with the gods. Above all, he wants to keep his son safe, and their encounter with Baldur has confirmed his view that further entanglements with the Aesir would only lead to disaster.
Kratos and Atreus will have to make a decision together on which route to follow. As Ragnarok approaches, whatever they select will determine the fate of all those who live in the Nine Realms.
Agony and Vengeance
We take a quick look at Freya and Thor, two of the primary villains in God of War Ragnarok.
Freya, a former friend turned adversary, has vowed revenge for the murder of her son, Baldur, due to Kratos' actions after the last game.
We wanted to remind players that Freya is a fierce fighter in her own right, not merely a terrifyingly powerful user of Vanir magic. Freya, enraged by Kratos' escape of justice at her hands, will use every tool she has against her son's killer.
Thor's renowned bloodlust and anger will be directed upon Kratos and Atreus, who have also lost their sons and half-brother.
Thor, dubbed the "Biggest Butchering Bastard in the Nine Realms" by Mimir, became one of the most powerful Aesir gods by annihilating virtually all of the Giants at Odin's order.
While we don't want to give too much away just now, we believe that merely seeing Mjölnir wreathed in lightning will provide you with a sense of how powerful Thor will be as a foe.
You Have My Axe
God of War would not be God of War without a good serving of visceral and dramatic battle. New attack abilities, a new Runic Summon for Atreus, and, of course, the return of Kratos' legendary weapons have all been hinted at.
We've worked hard as a team to incorporate what we learned from God of War (2018) and enhance combat so that it feels both fresh and familiar. One of our primary aims with God of War Ragnarok was to encourage player choice in battle. You'll have lots of chances to match with our pair in a way that feels uniquely expressive, whether it's through solid hitting combos, mastery of components, or cunning defensive strategies.
Whatever battle tactic you choose, the adversaries in God of War Ragnarok will be prepared. The worlds have become harsher, and a slew of new monsters from Norse mythology will put your abilities to the test. You can see what happens when Kratos is caught between the jaws of a Dreki or under the hooves of the Stalker in the trailer, and that's just the beginning.
We hope to make every combat encounter memorable, from the tiniest brawls to the most giant show-stopper bosses, with an enlarged roster of foes! We can't wait to show you more as the release date approaches.
