With a history spanning thousands of years, Indian culture is a tapestry woven with the threads of tradition, spirituality, art, cuisine, and social customs. It is a mosaic of different religions, languages, and regional practices that have evolved over centuries, creating a unique and diverse cultural fabric.
Under 7th schedule of Indian constitution,

The government has a crucial responsibility to play in safeguarding and promoting the nation's cultural heritage. The involvement of a central authority is essential in heritage management and upkeep, since heritage zones frequently cross state lines and transcend legal and political jurisdictions. However, it is important to remember that citizens and local government play a significant influence.
Steps taken by our government in recent times, to preserve and promote our culture and heritage to the world, to promote our soft power worldwide.
