  2.  The GMO mosquito has not had any significant effects on humans during field-testing.
  3.  Because they didn't belong there in the first place, reviews indicate that there will have minor effects on the local environment because of the extinction of invasive mosquito specie.
  4.  In order to outcompete natural male mosquitoes for mates, the release of GMO male mosquitoes is based on a straightforward numbers game.
  5.  According to naturalists, any kind of invasive species must be eradicated from these surroundings at all costs.
  6.  When GMO mosquitoes are used, no pesticides are released into the environment.
  7.  Seeding areas with GMO male mosquitoes requires little labor and is relatively simple.
  8.  Including the use of a mosquito trap, the introduction of genetically modified mosquitoes can complement the mechanical methods already in place to manage mosquito populations.

  1.  Apprehensions regard the potential for GMO mosquitoes to carry or develop pathogens that pose a threat to humans.
  2.  The GMO mosquitoes have not been sufficiently tested or observed, according to critics.
  3.  Despite the fact that the mosquito is an introduced species, native species now rely on these insects for food.
  4.  There are worries that the GMO mosquitoes might mutate into a stronger mosquito that can reproduce, posing a brand-new threat.
  5.  The GMO plan will introduce a new type of mosquito—a GMO mosquito—to the environment, despite claims to the contrary.
  6.  Spraying only areas where people are present reduces the impact of insecticides.
  7.  Since government researchers have determined that most pesticides are safe, why take a chance with the release of GMOs?
