Cancer is an abnormal growth of cells. It is a hazardous disease. Actually, there is no single cause for cancer. Various factors are responsible for producing Cancer :
-
Smoking
It is a leading cause of Cancer. It is detrimental to health. Cigarettes and pipe tobaccos are made from dried tobacco leaves. Other substances are added for flavor, which is also harmful to our health. When people burn tobacco and its additives, it produces smoke in the air and makes air polluted. Breathing in such polluted air is dangerous because people can suffer from numerous diseases due to the containment of harmful chemicals. Such harmful substances can cause heart disease, kidney and lung problems. However, many of these substances mostly produce cancer among human beings. Excessive tobacco usage increases the risk of lung cancer, pancreas cancer, stomach cancer, oral cancer, and kidney problems.
-
Alcohol use
It can be considered as another reason for cancer. It is one of the most widely used drug substances. It usually involves wine, drinking beer, or hard liquor. When you consume alcohol, a chemical known as acetaldehyde is released into the body. This chemical damages your DNA and creates numerous health issues. When DNA is damaged, it is unable for DNA to control the excessive growth of body cells after damage which creates a cancer tumor. People who regularly consume alcohol easily develop throat cancer, breast cancer, and other health issues.
-
Excessive sun exposure
Basal cell and squamous cell skin cancer are mainly caused by cumulative sun exposure. The ozone layer is a region of Earth's stratosphere that absorbs UV rays from sunlight and prevents human beings from such rays. But, the ozone layer is depleting day by day due to the excessive usage of refrigerators and air conditioners. Such substances release CFCs in the atmosphere, which deplete the ozone layer. Ozone layer damage is more likely to reach harmful UV rays to human beings, leading to skin cancer.

Diet and physical activity
Being overweight can increase the risk of various cancers such as breast cancer, liver cancer, kidney cancer, pancreas cancer, and several others. Consuming too much junk food and unhealthy food items leads to obesity among people. Excess weight increases numerous risks such as inflammation in the body and cell and blood vessel growth, which give rise to cancer problem
Too much body fat can cause the level of growth hormones to rise, which develops cancer cells. Furthermore, after menopause, fat cells produce the hormone called estrogen. Higher estrogen levels lead to increased cell production, which could result in tumor growth.

Exposures to certain viruses
The virus that causes AIDS has been linked to an increased risk of developing certain cancers such as Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma. This virus changes among the cells and disrupts the normal functioning of cells which causes an infection inside the body. Ultimately, the infection affects a healthy's cell's genetic makeup, which leads to a cancer problem. Therefore, it is undeniable that viruses give rise to cancer problems.
