This is an American rock band that was created in 1986 in New York. The band is the composition of lead singer and guitarist John Rzeznik. The bassist and backing vocalist Robby TAC, and drummer George Tutuska. The Goo Dolls have released eleven studio albums, and have sold over 10 million records worldwide.

The Goo Dolls began as a hardcore punk band, yet their sound began to evolve by the early 1990s, incorporating elements of pop, rock, & power pop. The band’s breakthrough came with their fourth album, A Boy Named Goo (1995), which was certified platinum and spawned the hit single “Name”.
