What Happens After 9/11?
Taliban also helps to shelter Osama bin Laden, who was the man behind the 9/11 attack. Osama bin Laden initially denied his organization's involvement but later in 2004 admitted his organization was responsible. He justifies America has tortured Muslims, so he did attack to take revenge.
So now America takes its Revenge of 9/11 by sending its forces to Afghanistan and pushes the Taliban back. And in 2001 US overpowered the Taliban, and Afghanistan gets its new President Hamid Karzai; again, an election was conducted in Afghanistan in 2004, and Karzai again becomes President.
During this relationship between India and Afghanistan becomes strong. America then locates Osama bin Laden in Pakistan and sends forces and kill him. During this US army still stays in Afghanistan, suppressing the Taliban. Then comes Donald Trump and tries to improve the relationship with the Taliban. He met the Taliban leader.
He said that if the Taliban stops supporting terrorism, America will withdraw its army from Afghanistan. In 2021, Joe Biden withdraws the US army from Afghanistan, saying he trusts the Afghan Army with 320,000 members who can easily counter 85,000 Taliban fighters. And now Afghanistani Government is overthrown by the Taliban.
Reason Why US Withdraw Army
1- End of War Against Terror as Os@ma bin L@den and Major Leaders of Al-Q@eda were killed. Joe Biden himself didn't want to continue this.
2- Over three trillion USD was spent, which was a huge amount to be spent on a country.
3- During the US Presidential election, he promised, as it had no logic, to spend such a high amount of taxpayers' money on something the voter did not desire.
4-The present-day Taliban is much stronger than the old Taliban. The old Taliban was dependent on donations and support from other countries, but the present-day Taliban gets its own money through dr_g trade, taxes, and other means.
Countries In Support
Currently, Pakistan has praised the Tal! Ban for their action, and China has said to build friendly relations with the Taliban, whereas Russian President Vladimir Putin blamed America for Afghanistan's current situation.
New Promises
Early women were not allowed to study after age 10 and couldn't work anywhere else except in the medical field. Still, now, in a recent press conference, they said that they would have equality and freedom for women but in a limit of Islam. They can work wherever they want.
Afghanistan has been one of the most affected countries by terrorism. Old Taliban banned media, but now they have said to keep media free, but they shouldn't work against the country. Taliban said that they would not allow the country's land to be used against any nation.
However, it was reported that militants have taken over some houses and set fire to at least one school. Then comes photos in which a woman was shot and killed by the Taliban for not wearing a burqa. The same day Taliban talked about 9 respecting women's rights.
Future Possibilities
Now let's see three future possibilities thave has a major probability of happening.
1- Again, a new government to set up by demolishing the Taliban with the help of the US army. The higher possibility is with the help of airstrikes.
2- A peace deal between government and Taliban. The Taliban would apply more political and legal measures according to Islam and be in more power than the Afghan Government.
3- Afgan Soldiers again get up, lead by a dedicated leader to remove the Taliban from Afghanistan, and they start a civil war against the Taliban. This is going to be the worst-case as a lot of civilians gonna lose a life.
Why This Is A Concern For Other Countries
Afghanistan may become a haven for terrorism as it was after 9/11 for Al-Qaeda. However, the Taliban is intended to wash its past impression on supporting terrorism to get support from other nations, but still, a possibility is left to concern.
The Taliban of Afghanistan has inspired another Taliban from Pakistan, Tehrik-i-Taliban or Pakistani Taliban, who did Peshawar attack, killing children. Every country, including the Pakistani Taliban, accepted it was them, but Pakistan ended up saying it's India. So Tal! ban capturing Afghanistan can encourage Pakistani Taliban for Pakistan.
How Civilians Has Reacted
There are two types of videos that have surfaced on the Internet; first, we can see Kabul airport, where people are trying every possibility to leave Afghanistan. In contrast, in other videos, people are taking selfies and welcoming Tal! Bani fighters with flowers.
The difference to be noticed was that only 5-6 people were welcoming the Taliban, out of which 1 gave flowers, and 1 took selfies. Whereas there were thousands of people on the other video, people were trying every possibility to leave the country. (Nothing, just a small observation)
Now at the end, just one question for you all, if the whole country will follow Islamic law, what about those people who belong to other religions. About 0.3% of the total population which is more than 1.1 million people belong to other, will they have to live their life according to Islam, wear Burqa and have Beard? Comment down what you think
