In every country, law are necessary. Law helps in the maintenance of peace. So, the laws are bound to be observed by every citizen. But there are some elements in a society which do not pay any heed to the laws.
" Definition of a POLICEMAN" ?
The policeman is a person who is entrusted with the task of oppressing such people who break the laws. He makes people to obey these laws. One who does not obey, is punished by the police.
It is because of a policeman that our life and property are safe. Hence, a policeman is an important person in the life of a nation. He acts as a watch-dog of the society.
"APPEARANCE of a Policeman"
A policeman is usually a man of sound health and good appearance. He wears "black shirt and" Khaki pantaloons" and also carries a cane or weapon, whether a rifle or pistol, in his hand. He ties a belt round his waist which holds his weapons.
" An important MEMBER of SOCIETY "
A policeman is an important member of society. He is the protector of our life and property. He is responsible for keeping peace and order in the country.
He also controls the traffic. He has to be on the job for long hours. We see him wherever we go. He is a friend and helper of the law-abiding citizens. But he is terror for the law-breakers.
" Tough, Hard and Dangerous Duty"
The duty of policeman is very tough, hard and dangerous. Sometimes he has to arrest the robbers at the risk of his own life. Sometimes he looses his life while fighting with the law-breakers.
He is also present at Railway stations, Cinemas, Bus stands and other public places. He is on petrol duty at night to look after our property.

The policeman of every province in Pakistan can be distinguished by his different symbols. A policeman is assigned jobs at the police-station or check-posts.
Sometimes, he posted at points of the town or city, when there is any fear of disturbances and other eruptions.
" The Role of a Policeman during any Pandemic or Public Violence"
It is difficult to maintain peace but, a policeman performs his duty of peace very well. During public demonstrations and strikes, he plays a decisive role. When the crowd becomes violent, so, it is the responsibility of a policeman to prevent the violence from becoming something bigger.
Sometimes they also have to use stick (Lathi) for the same reason. If things get worse, he also resorts to firing only after getting permission from their superiors.
" Protectors for the Political Leaders, VIPs and sometimes for Common People"
The police also offers special protection to political leaders and VIPs. The common man can also avail this protection in special circumstances.
"The Duty Hours of a Policeman"
The policeman has to be on duty round the clock through he comes in shifts. He remains on duty during the wintry nights and chilly mornings.
Thus, you see how the police are always on duty round the clock. No matter what day or festival or holiday, he is always on duty.It is a tough role to play but, he plays it well. To protect the law is not an easy thing to do.
" Custodian Of the Nation"
The policeman is considered the custodian of law and order. He maintains peace and order. He has no patience with those who violate discipline and bring disorder and confusion.
The policeman is the protector of the religious affairs also. In fact, he is the enemy of all such persons as indulge in riots or thefts. He is the protector of poor and weak.
Thus, the job of the police is very long and tough. Moreover, it also comes with a lot of responsibility, as we look up to him for protection. Pakistani policeman is educated. He is polite and well-behaved. We are proud of our POLICE.
