What are the disadvantages of University?
Some 'of the' wonderful things about participating in our university life and education. However, some other disadvantages associated with our university education are also up for discussion.
The first and foremost disadvantage that comes to mind when comparing community college systems is the high cost of higher education at the true university level. Community colleges are more important than universities. In many cases, tuition is covered alone, leaving money to cover costs and room and board.
Apart from the obvious disadvantages, there are some other disadvantages which can be mentioned in this particular situation. First, universities do not have the small, intimate classroom settings that literally separate community colleges. In fact, for lower-level courses, most universities offer large auditorium classes that are taught by graduate students rather than professors, and often the students do not recognize those who are paying for their education. Another disadvantage of university life is the sheer size of university campuses. Community colleges are more compact. This means students have a better chance of getting to all classes on time and don't have to worry about walking 2 miles in ten minutes.
The small classroom environment of community colleges invites interaction between students in class. An open line of communication within the classroom is highly preferred by many students, as no one gets a voice or the ability to speak their thoughts or personal experiences when it comes to certain topics.
In the same way, Poor self-care, insufficient sleep, and high stress are contributing factors to most health problems in university life. Apart from these, living in close "proximity" to a large many of people can also pose a health risk to students by increasing their chances of getting sick.
If this is not harmful enough, many people also limit the impersonal atmosphere of many universities when interacting with other students. Although this is great for physical fitness, missing the first ten minutes of class each week can limit the academic process that your university experience delivers. While university life has some disadvantages, the fact is that graduating from university is one of the biggest ways to increase your earning potential over your lifetime. The amount is by no means insignificant. I recommend that you attend a community college for the first two years of your college education.
Beyond that, I strongly urge you to consider the value of completing your education and obtaining a four-year degree. Similarly, If you want to build self-confidence, earning potential, and job security, there's no better way than getting a four-year degree. It doesn't matter where you are in life or your career; It's never too late to start getting your education. There are many things in the world that a good education opens your eyes to, besides the doors of opportunity that a four-year degree opens.
