What are the Disadvantages Of AdSense?

As AdSense becomes the most popular program for pay per click advertising publishers, there are still flaws and disadvantages. Since its inception, advertisers have chosen to advertise in search because they felt that visitors would be less targeted. That's a real concern, and one that makes perfect sense. If you visit a website and notice an ad, chances are you're not particularly focused on its content.

AdSense has also become so popular that people can differentiate it from other ads. People may therefore choose to ignore them without even giving them a second thought. This is a hot topic that has been discussed by Bloggers, and it could hold a lot of truth. Many blame it on Google and their decision to put text below the ad that says "ads from Google".

Many publishers also fail to get the revenue they expected when the program started. Those who get only 30-40 visitors to their website per day would probably not make even one dollar per day. Many advertisers are talking about rates like 1.5%-5% for converting traffic to clicks, while only making around. The math doesn't work out great, but you can hardly blame advertisers or Google if you're not getting enough traffic. The key is to drive targeted traffic to your site that is likely to click on the ads, but it is said that this can be easier on other programs that allow for example a 75% share of ad revenue for publishers.

This means there is less competition for content and therefore less revenue for publishers. Publishers that used to have high revenue ads now have to adjust their content to ensure they receive any ads at all. This was largely the fault of the publishers themselves, but the problem is that; if not addressed, it could bring AdSense to its knees.

Google AdSense also has the disadvantage of not paying enough for its search engine. Other similar programs pay higher rates, and if publishers decide to switch, there will be problems for both advertisers and publishers. Although Google doesn't pay enough for search, another big problem with AdSense is that it doesn't have a powerful database of display ads. Many advertisers prefer to display graphically motivated ads, but this has not yet happened. Since there are several other programs for distributing PPC graphics, problems can arise.

While this may not be a problem for all publishers, many complain that the ads on their site don't change, so their repeat visitors don't see the new ads, so they don't visit. This is a problem that could be solved by ad rotation. However, if the ads rotate, how will this be linked to advertisers who pay a pay per click rate? These are all issues that Google needs to address to ensure that AdSense remains the market leader.

On the other hand, google Ads also has great advantages and remains the best in the market. Its CPC rates can be chosen by advertisers, so even if they feel they are not getting the expected results, they can lower their prices and still use the service.

While many problems remain with AdSense, the program still remains the most popular among publishers, while Google Ads remains the most popular among advertisers; with a database of more than 140,000 google Ads will remain on top for the time to come.
