A lot of people damage their ears by cranking up the volume and blasting sound into their ears. Play your music at a normal volume level that corresponds to other sounds you hear around you without having headphones on. You began to train yourself to play music through your headphones at a lower level initially and then become aware of the temptation to increase the volume, but curb the impulse to do so. Do not use earphones that are inserted directly into your ear canals because, even though they can make the music sound better, they enhance the chances of hearing loss will also increase. You should also try taking 5-minute breaks every hour. This will help your ears recover from being bombarded by concentrated sound waves. If you can use speakers at a moderate level instead, then do so because they will disperse the sound waves and not cause as much direct damage to your ear drums. Most people never think about cleaning their headphones despite using them in or on their ears for many hours. Your ears are full of wax, dead skin cells, and bacteria and if this bacterial count becomes too high, or new bacteria enters your ear, it can cause an ear infection. If you share your earphones with others the bacteria from other’s ears travel to your ears and can also cause infections or even worst things. The ear drum is constantly hit by sound waves from close quarters, and over a period of time probably conductive deafness. The ears also get sound weary, where you are not able to hear fine sounds in normal conversation…headphones are fine, but as with anything else, don’t overuse them. So, avoid sharing earphones as the same bacteria will be transferred from your ear to the person with whom you share the earphones. The external ear has an underlying framework of cartilage with a lining called perichondrium.
The perichondrium is very sensitive to pressure and bending which is inherent in wearing most earphones. Over the ear phones will take away most of the pressure (this being born by the skull) but will retain moisture around and in the ear which with prolonged use can be a problem in itself.
Having earphones encourages you to listen to your content in loud environments. To overcome this we tend to set the volume to very high levels. This is the scenario which is dangerous. In such scenarios the thing to do is use your earphones without music to protect you ears. Having earphones encourages you to listen to your content in loud environments. While listening music when we use earphone, we tend to concentrate more on music and this makes our brain to release dopamine hormone also called “ happy hormone” which make us feel good. When we use earphone, we do not disturb others because sometimes it leads to conflict between two people because of loud music.
So don't make that mistak
