If there is no defect in the man and even after regular physical relationship for about 5 years after marriage, the woman does not conceive, then she should be considered infertile. There are two words in English, 1 sterility and 2 infertility. These two words are synonyms of each other. Yet there is a substantial difference between each other. Generally, infertility or infertility is a sign of failure of conception. Sterility is a sign of complete sterility. In infertility, a woman can conceive but the pregnancy is not successful. In sterility, there is no chance of the seed ever being successful or conceiving due to both male and female. She has to experience infertility for the rest of her life. Modern physicians have given two types of infertility.

1. Primary sterility - When conception does not occur at all, it is called primary sterility.
2. Secondary sterility - When a child has been born once after conception or there has been a miscarriage in the middle and after that there is no pregnancy again, then it is called secondary sterility.
Once a child is born, the cause of infertility is due to an ascending prefix going up to the seed ducts during pregnancy and closing their mouth. As it happens mostly in Pooyamah (Ganoria). Similarly, once a miscarriage occurs, internal seed ducts are produced and block the openings of the bile ducts. Due to which there is no further pregnancy in future.
The inability to reproduce is called infertility. In simple language, infertile or infertile woman is called who for some reason does not have the ability to produce viable children. Many types of infertility have been described in Ayurveda which are being mentioned below.
1. Aadi Bandhya - A woman who is infertile from the beginning, that is, she has never conceived, is called Adi Bandhya.
2. Kak Bandhya- Once pregnant, after the birth of the child, if there is no pregnancy again, then it is called Kak Vandhya. This means that after the first delivery, some disturbance has arisen due to which the second pregnancy is not taking place again.
3. Garbhashravani Vandhya- In this, the woman gets conception, but before the fetus attains the full stage, secretions or leaves take place.
What is the cause of infertility?

Vandhya disease occurs in women due to absence or closure of ovaries, complete closure of uterus, absence of ovum, etc. Due to the lack of proper secretion by the endocrine glands, the woman becomes sterile.
