What are the best mouthwash for tooth pain

There are "many" different types of mouthwashes available, but some are only prescription while others are considered home remedies as the ingredients can be easily found at your local pharmacy or supermarket.

Prescription for  mouth wash :

The only way your dentist will ever give you a prescription would be chlorhexidine or better known by its brand name, Guest Posting Peridex. You cannot download this from the pharmacy on your own, but you will need a prescription from a medical professional.

How to use chlorhexidine rinse:

  • Pour 15mL into a cup.
  • Rinse with solution for 2 minutes.
  • Go out again and do not eat for an hour.
  • You can do it twice a day, once in the morning and once at night.
  • Please do not use it for more than two weeks as it may start to whiten your teeth if you use it for a long time.

Prescription oral cleanser, chlorhexidine does wonders for gum disease and toothache caused by gum disease but the worst is the stains and the fact that you need a prescription. If you cannot afford to go to the dentist then one of your options would be to wash your mouth with a home remedy.

To wash the mouth of a home remedy:

  • Rinse with salt water.  This is a home remedy that is easily accessible because everyone has salt and water in their house. This is best used for inflammation of the gums because it helps to reduce bleeding. It is very useful when used the next day after tooth extraction because it helps control inflammation and remove food debris from the socket.

  • Coconut oil. People who are more conservative, prefer to use coconut oil for bathing, instead of Listerine or antibiotic rinse, chlorhexidine. We have seen the effects of this very effective but the worst is that you need to wash for fifteen to twenty minutes every time. Some people may be offended by the fact that you have to spit in your mouth for a long time. The best part is that at least your mouth will feel very clean. The way this oral cavity works is that it restores the pH of your mouth to a neutral level.

  • Oregano oil. If you did not know, oregano has high anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. Because of this fact, it has led many people to try using extracts to combat toothache. How do you use it? You can pour the concentrate on the Q-tip and rub it on the painful birds or you can mix it with water and use it as a mouth wash. Either way will work!

  • Listerine. This is an old mouthwash that everyone knows about. It kills more than 99% germs and does an excellent job of fighting plaque and bad breath. Recently there has been a trend about getting away from alcohol trees but you have been lucky because Listerine has made a non-alcoholic version so we can recommend that. You can also easily buy this at your home store or pharmacy. All you have to do is wash for 30 seconds, which is much faster than how to extract coconut oil.

All of these oral cleansers will work to some extent but especially for soft toothaches. If your tooth hurts a lot, no oral hygiene in the world can alleviate that pain. You can do that with your dentist!
