What are the benefits of carrots against cancer?

It is true that the properties found in harmless vegetables such as carrots are so beneficial in saving lives from dangerous diseases such as cancer. In the last few years of research, it has been shown that carrots and other fruits and vegetables, such as oranges, green leafy vegetables, and fruits, in fact, have the potential to reduce the risk of cancer.

It is actually a combination of carrots and fruits and vegetables. This compound found in carrots is none other than beta carotene, which is considered to be better than more than 400 carotenoids and is available in large quantities. Carotenoids are yellow, green, and orange colours that are widespread in plants.

Carotenoids first appeared in carrots 160 years ago. The word "carotene" is also derived from the word "carat".

Beta-carotene, also known as pro-vitamin A, is slowly converted into vitamin A in the human body. It stimulates the growth of healthy cells. Additionally, the inner and outer layers of the body protect the 'skin' cells from the blood vessels in the lungs and throat.

Nutritionists have recently discovered that beta-carotene contains all the health benefits of common vitamin A, including a few. Unlike vitamin A, beta-carotene excess does not cause toxicity. People with low levels of beta-carotene in their blood are four times more likely to get cancer than those with high levels of beta-carotene.

The discovery of beta-carotene is so promising that the US National Institutes of Health now sponsors it, so much that initial research is the largest population study to date. The tests will look at the effects of beta-carotene, especially in preventing cancer growth. Harvard Medical School, conducted a study and selected about 25,000 people from across the United States. Other foods that are high in beta-carotene include sweet potatoes, legumes, parsley, spinach, mangoes, cabbage, cabbage, broccoli, apricots, sweet-nosed vegetables, peaches, apples and oranges, among others.

The National Cancer Institute of the United States recommends a daily diet consisting of six milligrammes per day in a daily dose of six beta-carotene-rich foods.

One source suggests that the amount contained in one or two carrots (approximately 8375 to 16750 units or 2513 micrograms to 5025) is the amount needed to halt cancer growth.
