What are the 7 Keys To Your Creative Genius?

Here are 7 ways you can quickly reach your natural instincts and create anything you like.

1) Think Like a Child. As adults, we tend to think systematically that aims to show how smart we are. As children, however, we were just natural and more creative in our thinking. To regain your youthful curiosity, allow yourself to become overly inquisitive, to be fully present here, and to avoid what you think is real.

2) Create New Links. Innovation does not require a university degree; it just needs to make the connection between the existing ideas. For example, did you know that ice cream was invented in 2000 BC, but it took another 3900 years for man to come up with the idea for a cone? It is when you take two seemingly unrelated things and use the spark to create creative intelligence.

3) Be Realistic. It is a special Western symbol of wanting to bind things into beautiful bundles. We prefer solutions to problems, and answers to questions. To create, you need to be free of inconsistencies. Eastern culture is very much in tune with inconsistencies. As in this Zen koan, or problem: what is the sound of one hand clapping?

4)         Laugh out loud. Tom Peters says workplace intelligence can be measured with a laughter, i.e. how funny it is. Comedy is one of the biggest creative tools. It pulls us out of our common patterns and incorporates ideas that should not go hand in hand. It was found that after listening to humorous tapes, students' ability to solve problems increased by 60%.

5) Think Beyond Your Limits. Many of the products we take for granted today are the result of people's thinking beyond their limits. John Lynn remembers sitting at a computer conference in the 1980s when someone joked that the next thing he would think about computer doors. When she returned to the same hotel 20 years later, all the departments used the computer key cards.

6) Accept and Get Involved. To be creative, you do not need to think blue. You can also start by fixing what works elsewhere. An American airline who wanted a quick change in its planes adopted the Formula One pit crew plan. Another source of ideas is nature. Georges de Mestral became accustomed to the way certain seeds clung to the fabric and developed Velcro.

7) Remember Your Dreams. Dreaming and dreaming during the day can create a rich set of ideas, because this is where we relax and allow the unconscious mind to work itself. The Coffey Park Management Institute calls this a “bathing trick” because most of the light of inspiration comes when we move a dog, sit like Archimedes in a bathtub, or wash.

Use these 7 creative thinking techniques and make them part of your daily thinking, and I guarantee that new solutions to your problems will open up for you easily and quickly.

Activate your positive thinking. Stretch your imagination. Think bigger than you feel comfortable. Act on your thoughts. The number one tip here is action. You want to start practicing these steps.

Now you need only to begin to act on your desire to create. Act now! Make your path to creativity and follow your purpose. Take your first step today with a positive attitude.
