We always need a friend who can be with us at any time and in any situation. And no human being can be with you all the time because everyone has his own life and works to do, and that is why no one can be available all the time when you need them. So, books are the best friend you can have who can be with you at any time without complaining and demanding. If you are lonely or depressed, you should start reading good books. Books are our best companion through thick and thin. They teach us so many things and help us in many situations without judging. In Urdu literature, you can get any type of writing according to your taste. Urdu literature, is rich in taste. Reading is an emotion. Once you start reading an Urdu novel, you can not stop reading then. Reading is an addiction. There are a lot of good Urdu novels. It is hard to choose few of them. But my personal favorite 5 best novels are these following:
1. Peer-e-Kamil: It is the best novel written by Umaira Ahmed. It is the story of two people: a runaway girl named Imama Hashim; and a boy named Salar Sikander. In this story, Imama wants to marry Jalal, but Salar lies to her that Jalal has married someone else. Then she asked Salar to marry her so that her family will not be able to force her to marry her first cousin Asjad. Salar marries her and loses contact with her for 10 years. There is a lot happened in these 10 years. You must read this novel. You will never regret reading this. It connects to your soul. It is the most famous work of the writer and translated into English also. You will enjoy reading it.

2. Jannat key Patty: It is one of the famous novels written by Nimra Ahmed. It is the story of an ISI officer Jehan Sikander and a girl Haya Suleman. The story takes many twists and turns and is all about the life of an ISI officer. It has a great message too. It connects the reader with the characters. You start to live the characters. You want to visit all that places mentioned in the novel. You should read this book to get some break from your real-life problems. You will love to read this.

3. Namal: It is Nimra Ahmed's new novel. It is a tale of murder and revenge revolving around Surah Namal of the Holy Quran. It is full of suspense and surprises that are unraveled to the reader slowly and gradually. A story that you'll remember for a long time. It touched my heart, the lessons, the quotes and most importantly the elaboration of Quranic verses won me over. I highly recommend this to each and every one. Such great pieces are rarely penned down.

4. Amar Bail: It is written by Umaira Ahmed. There are some novels which we love no matter how much we hate it's ending; Amar Bail is one such novel. It is a love story of Umar Jehangir and Aleezay Sikandar, set-up in the backdrop of Pakistani bureaucratic culture. It is a story of imbalanced relationships, broken families, lust for power, complexes, insecurities and all problems of love, its intensity and sacrifices. It has a sad ending. But It is a beautiful piece of writing to read. You must read it once.

5: Mushaf: It is also written by Nimra Ahmed. She is one of the finest writers of Pakistan. The name of this novel “MUSHAF” is the name of the Quran, meaning “written copy of Quran”. It gives us a very strong message that Allah almighty has given the Quran as a code of guidance. The story revolves around a girl who seeks an answer to every question by reading the translation of Quran-e-Pak. Everyone should read this novel.

I hope you will enjoy reading all these novels.
