Combined marketing is a great way to make money, but it is not as easy as it sounds. Many of the affiliate marketers actually make GREAT mistakes that consume time, money, and can damage their reputation permanently.
Fortunately, once you have identified these killer killers, it is easy to correct them so, you can stop making them in your affiliate marketing campaigns.
If you have been wondering why your affiliate marketing campaigns are not working the way you want them to, you may be making one or more of these big mistakes rather than hindering your efforts.
In this guide, you will learn about common mistakes made by affiliate marketers (even some experienced marketers make these mistakes!) You will also learn how to avoid making these mistakes yourself, and how to avoid repeating the same. Mistakes over and over again, as most people seem to do.
I understand that the main goal of affiliate marketing, at least for the advertisers themselves, is to make sales. That is obvious. But you should never focus on “selling”.
Instead, your main focus should be on helping people. No matter what your market is, you need to focus on helping your market in some way, because this is how you add value to your offer that is consistent with how you get the audience in that market to trust you and want to buy from you.
No matter what your market is, your main goal is to help people. Time.
Weight loss? It helps people to be healthy and healthy.
Online marketing? It helps people make money and gain financial freedom.
Socks? It helps people keep their feet warm and dry and look fashionable at the same time.
Stay focused on helping your potential clients. This will help you build relationships with the people you would like to sell, make your job easier, and give you a reason to feel happy about yourself at the same time!
Exploration is one of those things that everyone seems to know they should do, but almost no one really does.
Why is testing so important, though?
Well, suppose you get a conversion rate of 2%. Not too bad, you might think. After all, you have a lot of competition, and you are not well positioned in your market.
But what if one simple fix, something as simple as adding ONE NAME to your crowding page or changing ONE PICTURE on your blog's main page, could increase that to 4% conversion?
The 2% rise does not sound like such a big difference until you realize that REPLACE conversion rate, REPEAT customers, and DOUBLE incoming. From making one change! Isn't that right?
The thing is, you will never know what can make a difference if you don't check.
MMO, or Make Money Online, is one of the most lucrative markets available, but it is a mistake to focus solely on that one market. Did you know that even the top online marketing executives have been different in some markets?
That’s because any niche, no matter how profitable, has a high income cap that you can reach. Eventually, you can reach almost every market, and your income will suffer because you have nothing new to sell to them and no way to add new value.
Indeed, this is an extreme example. The fact is, no market has the perfect cap, because new customers are born and grow all the time. But think of it. Once you reach the top, your income decreases.
But if you are flexible, if you enter other markets, you will always have new products that you can improve. You will always have a new value to add. You will always be able to make money because you are not stuck in a single market.
I know it may be tempting to start with an MMO niche because it can be very profitable, and you learn a lot about it yourself, but unless you can help someone in that area because you are an expert yourself, you better try a niche where you have a lot to add.
The temptation is huge, especially for new affiliate marketers, to spread themselves thinner by entering multiple markets. Maybe they buy 50 domains at once, or set up blogs in 13 different niches in one week. But this is foolishness.
You should focus on one or two key niches at a time, and break them down once you get into those niches. Unless you can hire someone to manage more blogs, more products, more email lists, more social media pages and accounts ... you are doing worse if you split too much at first.
Choose two or three markets at first, and the only difference is when you have really succeeded in those first niches. Once you have a decent traffic, a growing list of emails, the presence of a social media platform that makes a difference ... you can consider trying new niches.
Do not make the mistake of spreading too quickly. You will find that you cannot make a real difference in any one niche, because you are not putting enough effort into one to do it any way.
