One of the easiest ways to get into the telecommunications industry is to get a job by telephone. These phone services are more accessible than other telecommunications services and usually pay better.
Keeping the children quiet may be a little challenging when you start working on the telephone at home. There is a fine line between keeping your child calm and preventing them from having fun every day. Here are some age-appropriate ideas on what you can do to ensure that you get at least some quiet time each day.
For children:
1. Keep busy with soft toys that make little or no noise. Fabric dolls and stuffed animals are good choices. You can also use folding plastic rings. I found a soft cloth box made with a collection of 4 finger dolls. The box had a different opening and mirror on one side. My baby spends many hours putting the animals inside and taking them out.
2. Dress your child with a sling. You will breastfeed her while she is working, and she can take a nap in her mother's lap. Get her used to the noise of everyday life in your home from the day you brought her home from the hospital. Do not keep everyone in a quiet home. The baby will get used to hearing your voice and will be able to sleep or talk on the phone… will actually find comfort in it.
3. Work while the baby is asleep. Try to get your child to a good night's sleep that works for you and your job. Make sure you have something around you that will soften him quickly - like a favorite animal - if he has to get up early while on the phone.
4. Work where the other person can watch the child. You can get a few hours of work while your husband is at home. Ask a relative if they would like to watch the child for a few hours a week. You can also trade to keep the kids with a friend or neighbor. Ask to watch your child for a few hours a week to do the same for you.
For children:
1. Get your kids to bed at night and work while they sleep. Don't let them go to bed too late in the afternoon, or you'll have a hard time getting up at night.
2. Work while you are a man or another important person at home, or ask a relative if they would like to watch your children for a few hours a day. You can also check out Mom's morning program in your area. Your child will play with other children while you work. The trade of child custody or arranging play days will also work.
3. Give your children a special game to play. Most board games work well, or if you have another computer, you can download some age-appropriate software. The important thing is to find something that doesn't make a lot of noise, which will keep their attention for a while. Make sure you do not use any given game too often, or your child will get a board with it soon.
4. Use an audio headset. If your kids cry a lot at times - and believe me, they will - the headset will cancel aloud. It is worth a small investment. Make sure you invest in good-quality headsets, though.
