The art of representation of an object in systematic lines on a paper is called drawing.

TYPES OF DRAWING
How many types of drawing are there?
There are two types of drawing. There are two types of drawing.
1. Artistic Drawing. (Free Hand or Model Drawing)
2. Engineering Drawing. (Instrument Drawing)
1. Artistic Drawing:- Like Painting, Cinema slide, Advertisement boards etc. The art of representing (displaying) an object in an artistic form by imagining or placing an object is called artistic drawing.
2. Engineering Drawing: - In engineering drawing, the art of showing Buildings, Roads, Machines etc. on drawing paper is called engineering drawing.
Types of Engineering Drawing? How many types of Engineering Drawing are there?
There are 4 types of engineering drawing.
(i). Mechanical Engineering Drawing or Machine Drawing.
(ii). Civil engineering drawing.
(ii). Electrical and Electronic Engineering Drawing.
(iv). Geometrical Engineering Drawing.
(i). Mechanical Engineering Drawing Or Machine Drawing: - In Mechanical Engineering Drawing, the art of showing machine, machine parts on drawing paper is called mechanical engineering drawing or machine drawing.
(ii). Civil Engineering Drawing:- Roads, Buildings, Bridges, Dams etc. in Civil Engineering Drawing. The art of showing on drawing paper is called civil engineering drawing.
(iii). Electrical And Electronic Engineering Drawing:- In Electrical Engineering drawing motors, generators, poles, towers, transformers, wiring diagrams etc. The art of showing on drawing paper is called Electrical Engineering drawing.
(iv). Geometrical Engineering Drawing: - In Geometrical Engineering drawing, rectangle, square, cube, cone, cylinder, sphere etc. The art of showing on drawing paper is called Geometrical Engineering drawing. It is of two types which are as follows:-
Types of Geometrical Drawing -
(i) Plane Geometrical Drawing.
(ii) Solid Geometrical Drawing.
(i) Plane Geometric Drawing: - In Plane Geometric drawing we can draw only two dimensional objects example: length and width. It is also called 2D drawing like square, rectangle, triangle etc. The art of showing on drawing paper is called plane geometrical drawing.
(ii) Solid Geometrical Drawing: - In Solid Geometrical Drawing, we can draw three dimensional objects example: length, width and height, it is also called 3D drawing. Like cube, prism, cylinder, sphere etc. The art of showing on drawing paper is called Solid geometrical drawing.
