BLUE PERIOD
Tsubasa Yamaguchi wrote and illustrated the munga Blue Period . Since June 2017, the series has been serialised in Monthly Afternoon, Kodansha's seine mange magazine. Kodansha announced the official English release in November 2019[1], and the translated edition of Volume 1 was released in October 2020.

When Yatora, a sluggish high school student, sees his classmate's painting and realises he has a gift for art, his life and priorities change.

After changing his college decision to art school, Yatora joins the art club and participates in special training over the summer break to strengthen his skills.

Dead Prep School Debut
When Yatora visits a museum with his odd new classmates, he experiences a creative epiphany. Yatora joins Yuka at Tokyo Art Institute for extra lessons.

Where Are We Going?
As the burden of art examinations pounds on Yatora's pals, TAI's night students attend the daunting afternoon lessons to prepare for the upcoming competition.
Episode 5:Aidless Even If I Know What to
Oba steps up training as exams get closer; Yatora finds it difficult to explain abstract ideas, so Saeki suggests he try painting on a bigger canvas for pleasure.
Episode 6: Serious Mental Illness
While exam stress begins to take its toll on the students' health, Yatora explores with numerous equipment in search of a secret weapon that can strengthen his art.
Episode 7: The First Exam's Beginning
When Yatora learns of Oba's weakness, it puts him into a tailspin. However, just before the first exam starts, a heart-to-heart with a close friend gives him confidence again.
Episode 8: Mind-Blowing
The first exam topic is "self-portrait;" a mistake provides Yatora with the necessary hint; and Oba takes the class to a museum before the exam results are disclosed.
Episode 9: Wandering Blade
Yatora, who has to become proficient in colour, is among the three who proceed to the second exam. Yatora is concerned since Yuka turned down art school and now works in a dubious job.
Episode 10: Blue Is Our Colour
Yuka and Yatora travel to Odawara to expose their souls and bodies in the hopes of overcoming their inner struggles with art and their surrounding concerns.
