There are many such areas on the earth where deserts are spreading due to water scarcity. And the living beings have to lead a miserable life. Most of the land area of Rajasthan state has always been affected by water crisis. This crisis is getting worse due to lack of seasonal rains.

Due to water crisis- Rajasthan is already facing water scarcity due to dry desert land. Then the population is increasing progressively. And the industrial speed is also increasing. Here ground water is being exploited in large quantities in cities and industrial units.

There is a lack of trees attracting rain. Whatever little is available is being harvested indiscriminately. Therefore, the water crisis of Rajasthan is deepening day by day.

The western part is a desert filled with sandy dunes, where the Indira Gandhi Canal is the only shelter. Some of the major causes of water crisis in Rajasthan are as follows-

Remedy for redressal-
Efforts should be made on a war-level for the prevention of water-crisis in Rajasthan, otherwise a grave crisis may be present here. Some of the major suggestions are as follows.
Unlimited exploitation of ground water should be stopped.
The sources of drinking water should not be used for irrigation.
Small dams should be constructed to store rain water.
Necessary quantity of water should be obtained by keeping friendly dealing with the governments of Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh.
In villages, ponds, ponds, wells etc. should be developed and promoted.
Special attention should be given to plantation in the desert.
Water level is also falling due to mining work, so attention is also required on this.
Measures should be taken to stop rain-water by growing trees on the mountains and making anicuts at places.
Ground water should be recharged by making pits on every field so that ground water can be used for drinking water and irrigation.
Rajasthan has always been suffering from water scarcity due to its natural structure. But human catastrophe has made this crisis more frightening. The unprecedented floods in Rajasthan in the past years have left the water management experts confused. If that flood turns out to be just an exception, that's fine; But if it recurs, then water management will have to be reconsidered.
