Karnataka School College Closed: Due to the ongoing controversy regarding Hijab in Karnataka, now schools and colleges have been closed for 3 days. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai informed that in view of the ongoing controversy, it has been decided to close educational institutions for the next 3 days. He has also appealed to all the students, teachers and school-college management to maintain .
Karnataka Chief Minister tweeted, "I appeal to all students, teachers and management of schools and colleges as well as people of Karnataka to maintain peace and harmony. I have ordered closure of all high schools and colleges for the next three days. Cooperation is requested from all concerned.
Controversy has been going on in the schools and colleges of many districts of Karnataka for the last several days regarding Hijab. This controversy started when 6 girl students in a government college in Udupi took admission in the college wearing hijab. The controversy was about the fact that the college administration had forbidden the girl students to wear the hijab, but they came wearing it nonetheless
Recently, the Government of Karnataka has implemented Section 133 of the Karnataka Education Act-1983 in the state. Because of this, now uniform has been made mandatory in all schools and colleges. Under this, fixed uniform will be worn in government schools and colleges, private schools can also choose a uniform of their own.
New video surfaced amid hijab controversy
At the same time, in the midst of this protest, a video also surfaced today. In this video some people wearing saffron scarves are shouting slogans in front of the girl wearing hijab. While the boys are shouting 'Jai Shri Ram', the girl is saying 'Allahu Akbar'. Actress Swara Bhaskar has called this video shameful. TMC MP Mahua Moitra has also retweeted the video of the incident.

In front of them, the petitioner has raised the demand for adjournment of the hearing of the case. The court made it clear that they are only and only by law, not by emotion. It was asked whether it is written in the Quran that Hijab is necessary? On this, Advocate Kamath, fighting on behalf of the petitioner, said that verses 24.31 and 24.33 of the Quran talk about 'head scoff'. There it has been told how important it is.
