Technology is something that users will love if it is user friendly. An example of this is Android OS. Google is constantly updating the OS and introducing new features to the users. Google is all set to release a new version of Android OS before Android 12 OS, released last year, becomes fully available to users.Has just released the 13th Developers version of Android. And let's see what features will be available to users (Android users) in this OS.
1. Google has made some changes to the notification center buttons (toggles) in terms of design in Android 13. It will introduce a new one-hand mode. This allows users to easily hold the phone screen up and down to view notifications. The toggles also have a shortcut button for color correction. QR code scanning toggle is also provided so that QR code scanning can be accessed with a single click.
2. The long awaited Picture-In-Picture feature will finally be available on Android 13. This allows users to watch YouTube videos and use another app. In the past, if you watched a YouTube video and opened another app, the video would stop. Even if you come out of YouTube with the latest feature and open another app .. the video you are watching will continue to play on the small screen.
3. Unlike the older OS, the Android 13 OS Media Player has shuffle and repeat options. This makes audio / video players more user friendly. It also shows which device we are using for sound output. For example if you are using a Bluetooth headset its icon will appear in the media player. You can click on it to increase or decrease the sound.
4. In Android 13, the keyboard option is given to make it easier to find the apps in the menu. Adenti! You may wonder if this is an old option. Google is bringing the old to the new. In previous OSes, the keyboard would come up if you clicked on the search bar at the top of the app menu. On Android 13, if you click on the three dots next to the search bar, you will see an option called Always Show Keyboard. Clicking on it will bring up the keyboard.
5. In Android 13, the user can put any color theme of his choice in the background for third party apps. For this, a special option called Themed Icons is being given. You can also enable the DarkMode theme.
6. To change the wallpaper in older OS you have to go to the display in the settings. However, in Android 13, if you click on the home screen of the phone, a quick wallpaper picker will appear. It shows the wallpaper selection option as well as widgets and home screen settings. This allows the user to easily change the wallpaper of their choice.
7. Some apps are in regional languages. For example, an app in Telugu cannot be used by people of other languages. Google will solve this problem in Android 13. The app will bring a new feature called Language Preference. Users can select and use the language of their choice in any language app.
8. Requires permission to access media files and general files after installing any third-party app on the phone. Cannot use the app if permission is denied. Giving access to all the files in this way allows the user data to reach the app developers. Checking this out, a new feature will come in Android 13 that allows apps to access only the photos / videos / files that the user has allowed.
9. When using the phone's navigation buttons, sometimes double-clicking on the menu access button opens Google Assistant. Leaving it open unnecessarily can cause some annoyance to users. Clicking on the navigation button in Android 13 can disable digital assistant services.
10. Made minor changes to Android 13 to make Sound Controls easier to access. Clicking on the Sound Control button on the side of the phone will bring up the Sound Navigation option on the right side of the screen. Click on it and you will see Vibration, Silent Mode and Sound Controls.
11. In addition, the privacy dashboard and new taskbar features will be available on Android 13. Shows the amount of data information used in the last week with the Privacy Dashboard. You can add up to six apps in the new taskbar. The taskbar currently supports only four apps.
12. Some apps are in regional languages. For example, an app in Telugu cannot be used by people of other languages. Google will solve this problem in Android 13. The app will bring a new feature called Language Preference. Users can select and use the language of their choice in any language app.
13. The QuickTap feature will be available on Android 13 similar to Apple iOS. Touch the back of the phone twice to illuminate the phone flash light. This feature works even if the phone is locked.
Note: Mobile companies are adapting the Android OS made by Google to suit their phones. Companies like Samsung and Redmi have already made some of the upcoming features in Android 13 available to users.
