Most countries in the democratic world want the United States to lead the world. In this case, the strategic ambitions of the United States are creating a lot of risk. The problem that has arisen in the way of global leadership originates in the United States. Ultra-party politics and deep polarization are eroding American democracy. This problem has become a major obstacle in the way of achieving the country's long-term goals abroad. According to a 2021 poll, while Republicans are concerned about China, Democrats are concerned about Russia. One might ask why current US President Joe Biden sees "rogue" Russia as his equal rival. But the real rival of America is China. Compared to Russia, China has 10 times more population, 10 times larger economy and 4 times more military spending. Not only is China powerful, it wants to overtake the United States as the world's No. 1 superpower. In contrast, Russia has created a tolerable level of security threat among neighboring countries through the deployment of troops on the Ukrainian border. Democrats are hardly aware of the rapid erosion of US power in global leadership. In bipartisan politics, U.S. leaders still fail to realize that the post-Cold War monolithic world order is long overdue. At that time, there was no one to challenge the economic and military dominance of the United States. The United States' monopoly power has been undermined by its involvement in a costly and meaningless war in the name of the global war on terror. After winning the Cold War, the United States went one step further. Dominance takes tactics to show off more and more. NATO expands near Russia's border. After World War II, the United States sought to annex Germany and Japan to the West, but not to Russia. As a result of the bitterness of relations with the Kremlin, Russia has again resorted to militarization. In the post-Cold War period of 1991, the United States did little to fulfill its promises to Europe or the rest of the world. Now, Ukraine has offered to supply arms and ammunition to Ukraine without directly deploying troops to defend it. Russia will not be able to defend the country at all at the hands of a powerful military power. The United States has been making a fatal mistake since the Cold War. They have contributed to the rise of China. They have created their own biggest rival. Unfortunately, the United States has not yet learned anything from this incident. Instead, the United States has focused on less important issues and has invested heavily in them. Examples include the Middle East, Africa, and the Korean Peninsula, ranging from Russia's desire to regain lost territory. The United States is inadvertently increasing China's global influence by imposing sanctions. By banning oil imports from Iran, the United States has not only allowed China to buy Iranian oil at huge discounts, but has also helped make it the country's top investor. US sanctions have similarly handed over Myanmar, which is rich in natural resources, to China. The United States has imposed an arms embargo on Cambodia. Last year, the country's president said in an interview, "If I don't depend on China now, who else will I depend on? " Russia is asking itself the same question. Russia has maintained a safe distance from China for decades. But Vladimir Putin chose China as his strategic ally in the sanctions that the United States imposed on Russia after the annexation of Crimea in 2014. The massive "economic sanctions" planned by the United States to exclude Russian banks from the international Swift system would push Russian bankers toward China. This will allow China to make huge profits and expand its currency, the reminder, internationally. As promised, if Biden blocks the word Stream-2 gas pipeline (direct route from Russia to Germany), China will have greater access to Russian energy. If the Biden administration does not realize the extent to which China is now threatening, if it does not take appropriate action very soon, the last window in the world will be closed for the United States.
