Akbar-Birbal Story: Just One Question (Sirf Ek Sawal)
Birbal was renowned for his sharp intellect and wit. One day, a scholar visited Emperor Akbar’s court to challenge Birbal’s intelligence. The scholar boasted that his intellect surpassed Birbal’s and claimed that even Birbal would fail to answer his questions. Intrigued, Emperor Akbar summoned Birbal to the court and informed him of the scholar’s challenge.
Birbal readily accepted and asked the scholar to proceed. The scholar then posed a choice to Birbal:
“Would you prefer to answer 100 simple questions or just one difficult question?”
Birbal confidently replied, “I would prefer to answer just one difficult question.”
The scholar then asked, “Tell me, which came first: the chicken or the egg?”
Birbal paused for a moment, thought carefully, and replied, “The chicken came first.”
The scholar, attempting to mock Birbal, asked, “How can you be so certain?”
With a smile, Birbal responded, “I already told you I would only answer one difficult question. I have given my answer, and I will not entertain any more questions.”
Hearing this, the scholar was left speechless and embarrassed. He quietly left the court, acknowledging Birbal’s cleverness.

This story teaches us that with the right use of intellect and wit, one can navigate even the most challenging situations effectively.
