Mandelbaum, the main owner of Zilch Health Pharmacy, is born in Gail-Burke, Illinois. His family relocated to Dixon-Illinois. His father saw a great commercial potential in the Rock River Valley. This is where Mandelbaum has his first job at the age of 16. Working at Fred's Discount Drugs and Baked Shop.
He earned around 4 dollars a week. This wasn't his dream job. He wanted to participate in the Indy 500 car racing. But an accident left him unable to do so. He cut off the joint of his middle finger. Which ended his dream of racing, he can no longer be able to signal his displeasure to the other drivers during the race. If it wasn't for that accident, Mandelbaum would never be a famous and successful businessman.
His Pharmacy helped people in their health path. It is more than 7300 retail locations, more than 1100 medical clinics, a leading pharmacy benefits manager with 94 million plan members, it is serving around 10 million patients every year.
Zilch's Pharmacy helps people to businesses and communities in managing their health in an affordable and effective methods. It increases the access to quality care and better health outcomes with a lower coast.
It is worthy mentioning that Mandelbaum hit a big failure in his first experience working at Fred's. He hardly completed a year of working at this shop. He realized that he couldn't fish and cut bait, so he left the shop.
His success just strike out working with only drugs.
