what a Roman Family

The patriarch of Rome (paterfamilias) exercised absolute authority over all other members of his family (patria potestas): his wife, children, and slaves. If his father's father was alive - then he had supreme authority in the home. Fathers were also allowed to kill their elderly sons for serious offenses, such as sedition.

Each house had its ancestor and patron deities, and the paterfamilias was its priest. The family was thought to have a "genius" (species) - an inner spirit - passed down from generation to generation. The living and the dead share their genes, and they are bound by it.

The legal offspring were from his father's family. The father retained custody of the child if the (rare) couple divorced only on the step of the husband. The father had the right to deny the newborn baby - usually boys or girls with disabilities. This led to a great loss of women in Rome.

The father of the bride would have to pay the bride-price for the bridegroom's family, thus depriving the other family members of it. In addition, daughters share equally in the deceased father's estate without a will - thus transferring property from the traditional family to their husband's family. Not surprisingly, women were considered to be economically responsible.

At first, slaves were considered part of the family and were treated fairly. They were allowed to save money (peculium) and buy their freedom. Freed slaves became full Roman citizenship and generally lived with their families as hired laborers or paid laborers. In time, large plots of land were acquired by the wealthy Romans, where slaves were often mistreated and treated as outcasts.

The next article on superstition is simply a reflection of my thoughts. It really doesn't mean anything.

In my view, our lives are based on beliefs. We, in fact, live in a great system of belief. It is therefore incorporated without a seam (in our world) other beliefs that most people think are natural and accept without question.

The act of reading this article is based on belief, because the very structure that is built in your head is now intellectual and imaginative. Maybe, what it is is not just as ideas, but also NOW as an experience. Although one can explain or imagine the truth, speculation is a thought in itself.

Beliefs can be very powerful, especially if most people buy from them. Sometimes a particular belief when it moves, creates a catalytic reaction, triggering the formation of other beliefs. Gradually, the layers over the layers of belief become mud and truth. So much so that it is so full of superstitions and so far from original evolution that life is unnecessarily complicated and customary.

The major beliefs that operate in our world are:

Self-identification with the physical body.

When in fact, we are more than that. This belief can be very difficult to resolve. And it takes a lot of self-discovery to see our real nature. The essence of this belief is more than what can be expressed within this article. So I will leave you like that.War is the result of superstitious beliefs and outrage over bigotry. War itself is a myth, for nature and animals do not share in it. Only humans do it, because it was thought of in the human mind, and it is not something that is natural or essential to human circumstances. The military is a shoot from the Army

Money buys happiness.

The widely held belief that money equals happiness. Happiness does not need money to fulfill it, one just pretends to believe! The idea that Money has created a myth, a race of sorts, competition breeds rat race, rat race causes one to say that one's whole life is working and finally few remember that the original purpose of life was to be happy and content.

Personal value is determined by factors such as wealth and position. This creates great suffering in high-income communities. This is closely related to ‘money buys happiness.’

The quest for perfection.

It is a very common belief in our civilization. Everywhere we look today, the tide of protectionist sentiment is flowing.

In my opinion, it is related to and caused by human pregnancy.  Things are like that. Perfection and imperfection are the adherence to standards.

The world.

The idea of a world is simply a belief in the ownership of land. In fact, humans did not create the earth and therefore do not own it. Patriotism is an offshoot belief coming from the 'world'. Where there are no countries and no wars, there are no requirements for Patriotism.

Well, I think I ran enough.
