what A Healthy Diet Check Up From The Neck Up

If you've tried every so-called healthy diet plan on the planet and every exercise program from the latest fitness gadget and repeatedly failed to meet your weight loss goals, you may need a "healthy diet checkup..."

There is no such thing as a healthy, fast, weight loss diet plan. Successful weight loss does not just happen. It took more than a few days to get to where you are now. Give yourself a break and wait until you see measurable results. Take a leap of faith and follow some basic principles in your diet plan.

Start with your "self talk". This is a constant conversation going through your mind. How do you talk to yourself? What negative self-talk has prevented you from reaching your weight loss goals in the past?

If you could do it over again, would you change the dialogue? You don't think so? The good news is that you can turn the tide of negative self-talk today. It's never too late to start, and you start by reframing your self-talk and starting a new weight loss diet plan.

A good start is to start with positive affirmations. Positive affirmations, spoken with authority and conviction, positively influence your attitude, focus your thinking, and guide you to action to help you become the person you want to be and the things you want.

Start by writing your opening affirmations on paper. You can start with something like, "I want to lose 25 pounds before Christmas." This is a worthy and achievable goal, but some work needs to be done to set up validation.

First, "I want" indicates that something you want will happen in the future. To reprogram your self-talk, you must fool your mind into believing that you have successfully lost yourself. This is how your mind works.

Your mind is incapable of understanding the concept of time. Everything is in the moment. . where and now. If you tell your unconscious mind that you "want" it, that's what you want. . . . without ever being fulfilled. If you do not change your mental tape recorder, you will be clearly set in your mind that you want to lose 25 pounds. If you don't change your self-talk, you'll spend the rest of your day "wanting to lose 25 pounds."

If you weigh 150 pounds and want to get to 125 pounds, the moment you decide to change your self-talk you "should" be 125 pounds. If you write affirmations read something like: "I am fit and healthy, my weight is 125 pounds."

It is very important that your affirmations are clear, because what you affirm is what your consciousness will bring.

You don't have to limit yourself to just one affirmation. Write one more that describes your new exercise program. "I'm enjoying my new healthy eating plan" or "I love the healthy foods I eat."

Write and rewrite your weight loss goals until you're sure you've written down the "here and now" and are clear about what you want. Only then you start speaking out loud, and do so several times a day.

Remember to use the present tense. "I welcome success in all my weight loss goals." "I have the skills and talent to practice every day." "I am a winner" "I am grateful for all my successes, no matter how small."

In the beginning, you may feel awkward and uncomfortable and may not understand or believe what you say. No problem, just keep speaking as confidently as you can. It takes a long time to train the mind to use negative self-talk. If you keep saying your affirmations out loud, firmly, and confidently, you'll be surprised how quickly you can turn your thoughts around.

This is not your first time riding a bike on the road. It takes practice to train the body to balance on those two wheels. This will also take some practice. Continue to repeat your affirmations out loud several times a day for the next 30 days and you will be amazed at how you change your thinking and attitude.

Most importantly, take action. Nothing and nothing. Do one thing and many things are set in motion.

No matter what you do in life, you have to take action. Do something every day to put your plan into action
