Afghan cricketer Rashid Khan on Saturday has announced that he will not be able to play for his Lahore Calendars in the Pakistan Super League final.
The cricket star has taken to Twitter to explain what happened after media reports confirmed he could be part of Sunday's game.
"It would be amazing if it was important for Lahore Calendars to play with their closest players in the PSL in the end. I will not have the option to advance to the finals because of National Duty, which is the main thing," he wrote on Twitter.
On February 20, Calendars's right-arm spinner had left the PSL club to register its team in the ODI and T20I series against Bangladesh.
He received the due farewell to his teammates and the warm welcome of Calendars captain Shaheen Shah Afraid.
One of the clubs has shown the Calendars allowing the 23-year-old swimmer to be honored for his good swing all season in a respectable watchman manner while running to their columns, holding hands with one of them.
Khan is delighted with the Calendars driving Shaheen Shah Afraid to the PSL 2022, taking 13 wickets in nine matches.
Meanwhile, Fa wad Ahmed has been appointed to replace Rashid Khan by the PSL technical committee.
Lahore calendars have listed Leg-spinner, Fa wad Ahmed, as part of an exchange for Afghan leg Rashid Khan, who will not be available to the Calendars in the final round and end-of-season games.
It is worthwhile to refer here that the replacement is supported by a special board.
Rashid Khan, considered one of the world's leading circus bowlers, will play for the Calendars until February 19.
Pakistani-born Fa wad Ahmed has spoken to Australia in three Odis and two T20Is and also highlighted in previous PSL seasons playing for Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United.
Rashid's flight to the tournament will be a mistake for the calendars, as he has been instrumental in them with his clever swinging as he has used the strong line and length and also received important wickets.
Currently, the calendars sit third in the PSL 2022 with six points in three games.
Lahore calendars which Rashid Khan has left the Pakistan Super League (PSL) version seven to register his team ahead of their series with Bangladesh, from February 23.
Rashid has been an important part of the calendar's impressive journey to the end of the season. He played his last game against Islamabad United yesterday.
Before leaving the tent event, Rashid expressed his gratitude to the calendar's family and fans.
"It's hard to leave PSL 7 with my fans here. Anyway, I have to leave because of my public responsibilities," he said.
"I've always been happy to play for the Calendars in the PSL. It's like family to me. My fans here are immovable "and" their help makes me stronger," he added.
"I still have my wishes for my team. Inshallah, this time we will win the PSL," he said. The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is the Twenty20 professional cricket association that is challenged in February and March each year by six teams talking in six urban areas in Pakistan.
