Webmasters who are there and have done so have some helpful tips to help those who want to step into this field.  Some of these tips have made a lot of money in the past and are continuing to do so.

If webmasters want to monetize their websites, the best way to do so is through AdSense.  There are many webmasters who are struggling to make some good money in a day through their sites.  But then some of these "geniuses" are enjoying hundreds of dollars a day from AdSense ads on their websites.  What makes these webmasters different from other types is that they are different 'and' they think outside the box.

Here are 5 proven ways to improve your AdSense earnings.

Focus on one AdSense ad format.  One format that worked well for the majority was the big rectangle (336X280).  The same format leads to higher CTR, or click-through rate.  Why choose this format out of the many that you can use?  Basically because the ads will look like normal web links, and people are accustomed to clicking on them, click on these types of links.  They may or may not know that they are clicking on your AdSense, but as long as there are clicks, it will be for your benefit.

Create a custom platform for your ads.  Choose a color that suits your site's background.  If your site has a white background, try using white as your ad border and background color.  The idea of color patterns is to make AdSense look like it's part of a web page.  Again, this will result in more clicks than visitors to your site.

Remove AdSense from the bottom pages of your site and keep them up.  Don't try to hide your AdSense.  Keep them in a place where people can see them quickly.  You'll be amazed at how different AdSense locations can be when you look at your earnings.

Maintain links to relevant websites.  If you think some sites are better than others, place your ads there and try to maintain and manage them.  If this particular site already has a lot of AdSense, put your own on top of them all.  That way, the visitor will be the first to see your ads when they browse the site.

Try to automate the entry of your AdSense code into web pages using SSI (or server side included).  Ask your web administrator if your server supports SSI.  How do you do that,  Just save your AdSense code to a text file, save it as "AdSense text", and upload it to the web server's root directory.  Then, using SSI, call the code on the other pages.  This tip is especially time-saving for those who are using automated page generators to create pages on their website.

These are just some goal setting shareware that you can use in your website.  However, it is important to know that ads are shown because they are tailored to the interests of the people who view them.  So focusing on a specific topic should be your main goal because the displays will be specifically on the topic that people are already looking at.

Also note that there are many other AdSense that share the same title as you.  It's a good idea to think about creating a good ad that is slightly different and unique than the one already advertised.  Every click-through, that a visitor makes is a point for you, so make your AdSense something that counts every click that people will definitely click on.

Suggestions from people who have increased their earnings are just guidelines they want to share with others.  If they have somehow worked wonders for some people, then maybe they can work wonders for you too.  Try them out in your ads and see what the results will be.

If others have done so, there is no harm in trying it for yourself.
