This word has different meanings for every person living in America. Some have come to this 'Land of Dreams' forgetting their past, some have to become a big man, and some have to become the owner of many shiny bonted vehicles. There are two such brothers, Mich and Terry. Those searching for their American Dream. Want to earn money, that too a lot, not only that, they need full respect. Which follows the philosophy of 'See It, Touch It, Obtain It'. In this story set in South Detroit of Etsy, both the brothers start running their crew in their area. Drugs continuously increase their work of smuggling. As soon as the big players start becoming, so the troubles also start increasing, and here it is not just about the police. What happens next in the graph going up the success of both the brothers, we get to see it in eight episodes of the show.
When we meet Mitch and Terry for the first time, it seems at first glance that Mitch is intelligent, makes decisions after thinking. At the same time, Terry seems to be impulsive, who can do something unrestrained by getting in a hurry. But as the story progresses, opposite sides of both are seen. Mitch will do whatever it takes, and Terry, being the younger brother, is explaining to him. It is not only with Terry and Mitch, but also with the rest of the characters, that they do not behave in a certain way. That's why they look raw, they look human. Seeing the rest of the match made Demetrius Flannery Jr. after a point, it seems that this guy has become a sociopath, who does not care about anyone but himself.
You will be disappointed if you see 'Black Mafia Family' as just a gangster show. Here the show is interested in knowing that behind all the black business and bloodshed, how is the world of those gangsters, how are their mutual relations, how are their family members. Like Mich and Terry, come from a normal middle class family. Therefore, when the parents come to know that both the sons are doing such a thing, then day and night debate starts. Mich and Terri also have a younger sister, Nicole. There is a scene where Nicole tells Terry that the family only cares about both of you, I am invisible to them. A little girl keeps saying that she is not getting the attention of her parents.
The show spends most of its time in family time, and not just in the case of Mitch and Terry. There is another character named Lamar. A very cynical, cunning type of man, for whom you would say that neither friendship nor enmity is good. Once upon a time, Lamar had a strong presence in that area, but now he sees that new boys have arrived. So he starts grabbing his old position. Even though everyone believes in doing Ram-Ram from a distance from Lamar, but he also has one weakness, his daughter. In front of which all the anger of Lamar, all the anger, vanishes. The hope of meeting his daughter again has awakened some humanity in him.
Every episode of the show starts with two things. The first is a coat of match a. The episode ends with Mich voice over. Since this story is telling Mich, it seems that the show is trying to idealize the gangster lifestyle. Often, gangster films or shows also complain that they are promoting that lifestyle. But here I do not feel like that. For two reasons, one is the disclaimer at the beginning of every episode, which states that it is based on a real incident. The second is for Mich to tell his own story, and who doesn't become a hero in his own story. Henry Hill's character in Martin Scorsese's 'Good fellas' did something similar.
Looking at 'Black Mafia Family', it seems that this season has acted as a setup for the coming seasons. Since the show focuses on two central characters, the conversation seems repetitive at some places. that could be removed. Those who like shows like 'Narcos' and 'Breaking Bad' will definitely like this show. One more thing that needs to be mentioned. The executive producer of the show is American rapper 50 Cent, who himself did not act in the show, but two big American rappers have made cameos here. Spot them yourself.
