As you know there is an ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia, troops of Russia entered Ukraine on 24th February 2022,
Ukraine and Russia had border issues since 2014 due to the NATO expansion. Former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych was very close to Russia, we could say he was a close friend of Vladimir Putin(who is the current president of Russia) but the people of Ukraine dethroned him based on his corruption and then the people of Ukraine elected Zelenskyy as the new president of Ukraine.
Zelenskyy was very close to the west rather than Russia, He felt that his country might be invaded by Russia, so he requested membership in NATO and also in the EU, This made Putin worried because if NATO expands there might be security alerts for Russia because USA and Russia were rivals from the beginning.
Putin planned to invade and dismantle Ukraine's defense system so that his country might be protected from the west, so he started to invade Ukraine on 24th February 2022. Meanwhile, Zelensky pleaded membership in NATO, So he can be protected by other countries who are part of NATO, The USA rejected his plead instead of membership they gave humanitarian aid and financial support to Ukraine, It didn't help from Putin's wrath, countless lives were lost in Ukraine due to this war and lifestyle of people completely, Other countries such as India, China, UAE, Saudi Arabia stood neutral whereas the west took the side of Ukraine.
Ukraine didn't receive anything except a standing ovation for its bravery.
Meanwhile, India started a mission to evacuate its citizens from that country, and successfully around 20,000 Indians were saved due to this mission.
Even though the countries that stood neutral encouraged the two countries to clear their disputes through talks.
Due to this war, more than 2000 people lost their lives.
Some countries sanctioned Russia, which resulted in an increment in fuel prices.
Finally, Ukraine will lose the war, As Russian troops are on their way to Ukraine's capital. Many buildings and hospitals were collapsed due to the missiles of Russia.
Some real-time situations faced by real citizens of Ukraine are ;
A woman gave birth to the dead child due to the effect of war. A 10-year-old lost her arm and her father was shot dead by the Russian troops. An Indian student died as missiles rained down in his place while he was buying food, some people lost their lives due to insufficient food.
Once Ukraine used to be rich in culture, heritage, and ancient architecture. None of them survived due to this war, The people used to live a happy lifestyle, Everything got changed when the war began. Everyone was staying in underground bunkers for their self-protection.
This war destroys many families and communities and often disrupts the development social, and economic fabric of a nation. This war leads to long-term physical and psychological harm to children and adults, as well as the reduction in raw material and human capital.
Due to this war, both countries lost their economy and lives of their people.
